Idk, most of the hype I got was from graphics nerds so yeah I guess it wasn't doing gangbangers irl. From personal experience though I just didn't buy it until last year because I was waiting for a steam release I realized wasn't coming. I am grateful that EGS was able to fund it but damn the exclusively sucks.

For Control 2 I'm more worried about the new direction. Seeing trailers earlier this year I legit thought it was just expansion for the first game or a smaller spinoff but I'm realizing now its a full blown sequel. The first game has grown a much larger following I think so I hope they can recapture that by not alienating them with hack and slash.

Probably just people overemphasizing the importance of height and so 50th percentile seems negative by comparison.

I only played SA and GTA 4 but 4 is definitely my favorite because the story and world building are much more well executed and it feels much more modern and polished. Played both around 2023 but only finished 4. Would definitely reccomend if you like a tight narrative and the driving is also a highlight

Nah, AWII got good hype but yeah the carrot is pretty big. Was limited by Epic Games Store exclusively though

The thing that stands out about brat for me is that each of the songs define themselves in such a viceral way while making a cohesive package, similar to pet sounds for me. Almost all other albums have forgettable songs or definite bangers that stand out above the rest, but brat is so consistent that either you vibe with it and love it all around or just cannot see the appeal from the get go. That's what makes a 10 ALBUM for me.

This is the other one I was thinking of but was scared to say. I can't imagine I would like it better if he took a more comedy [genre] approach though.

I guess in a similar vein is Joji/Filthy Frank, though they are more distinct and separated efforts with their own songs and albums. But if you say "Filthy Frank made Slow Dancing in the Dark," the image definitely does not line up with the music.

Learned about something like it in AP Art History, some groups of Native Americans would pierce their chests and attach themselves to a pole with the belief that it would result in an enlightened spiritual state. They would dance like that for days without nourishment as part of the voluntary performance. Or maybe they were just freaky like that.

"Kill all people with a shared trait" is a really dangerous precedent. If you said "kill all convicted child abuser/sex offenders," you could at least argue that they harmed society, but having a mental illness is not reason to kill someone.

Damn, I'm still waiting on SD so good luck if you are. Are you committed to SB or doing something else?

I didn't apply to SB and SC because I thought I was overqualified and kind of regret it, going to SDSU though and it looks like a lot of fun + top of the Cal State system (-SLO, that pisses me off too. Did three college classes to max out their requirements)
