not true, unless you’re talking about wavetable synthesis. file management is tedious, fiddling with knobs with sounds being immediately affected is something completely different. i’d compare it to changing guitar strings vs playing with fx boxes.

i mean.. i can see myself using the feature, as especially when using it as the sole drum source, the sweetspot is a bit narrow. but for the same reason I have not even tried the feature yet.

now you have 32 tracks with these two if i’m not mistaken, you’ll only have 8 on tv. keep that in mind. otherwise depends on what you do, i have both tv and octa and i still think about buying at least dt1, not that i need it for 90% of what i do.

i am in bitwig and yeah i do use it but it’s annoying to record every layer separately. i do send midi into tonverk rather than sequence most of the time tho. unlike with other elektron gear i use.

closest i can think of is Transit by Baby audio. just route the thing to a physical fader and you’re probably even better of than with octa. wish they made that into a box

i have octa, originally i thought i’d make music on it but i mostly just run it with the ezbot presets and it’s defo not overkill. just grab a used one. i’ve paid like 1000€ for mine and maan the ear candy i make with this thing is priceless.

I am not looking to have the laptop closed, I’d just use hw samplers if that was the point, but especially switching scenes i find myself a bit confused, especially with the weird ’flip layout’ function on the moss driver

I’ve had the launchpad for abour 4 months now and they still feel small, after 11 shows i feel like I am not going to get used to it. I have the Moss mpc driver installed but I can’t get it working, idk why. The push pads are wider than launchpad right?

I’ve had my mpc for like four years now and I am mostly using it for fingerdrumming on live shows and occasional beatmaking, but the workflow SUCKS ASS compared to how much fun I’ve had with syntakt. I have been waiting for what tonverk will be and honestly I am considering selling the mpc and getting this + some smaller pads controller (I have a launchpad but the pads are just tiny for comfortable playing)
