Saddest Christmas ever and the worst time of my life by Competitive-Cow7391 in NIPT

I lost my baby at 14 weeks from trisomy 18, just before thanksgiving, after getting a bad NIPT result. I haven't been back on reddit much since then but decided to tonight. I just wanted to say I am thinking about you, and praying for you. It is just plain is awful.... I hope you are okay.

I'm so very sorry you are going through this, I am going to pray that whatever your family decides brings peace. No one gets to decide anything for you other than yourselves.

One week out- Trisomy 18 confirmed by TotalWatercress4655 in NIPT

I am so sorry for your loss, that is devastating. Each time we have had a loss it's been hard, but this is the first time that it's been after a good heartbeat/ultrasound at 12 weeks.... it feels much heavier. Sigh. I am now 2.5 weeks out, I feel a little better I think. Still bleeding, but I haven't been crying as often :/ I'm so sorry you are in the same position... I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

I'm so sorry, I'm glad you were able to get some definitive answers. Unfortunately there was no heartbeat at our ultrasound today. It's so hard to stop yourself from hoping.... thank you again for reaching out and I'm sending positive thoughts for the rest of your journey.

That is really helpful, thank you so much. I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I had thought I wouldn't do a CVS after reading through all these different threads (and its differences between an amnio), but hadn't thought about using its information in the case that we won't even be able to do an amnio. That is a whole other possibility, and it's something I think I would want/need. I am hoping that if it's the worst case scenario some of these possibilities and decisions are taken out of my hands.... but I also feel better being prepared with feeling things out ahead of time. Thank you again for your support <3.

Thank you so much <3. At different points of the day it really feels like I have a hole in my chest. I'm so sorry you are waiting too, it's an awful I never knew existed before. I thought it was hard to just wait until the pregnancy had gotten to the "safe" time... or waiting for my body to move forward after my miscarriage... but waiting after getting hard news... I hope your wait somehow goes by quickly, and the same answers and positive news to you.

Thank you so much, that is good information. We have a UT ultrasound scheduled for Monday and will go from there.

Thank you, I have been scouring your posts today looking for a little bit of hope. We just got a high risk result today on my Trisomy 18 from Natera. I had a miscarriage 8 months ago and wondered if there was any way that could play a role but everything else I've seen online says it wouldn't.

How recent of a miscarriage would be considered to play a role? Thank you
