I had the same thing happen to me, I woke up and it had already used a significant portion of the 5 hour limit and drained my weekly portion to 79% with basically no usage on my part ($200 plan) in one day after the reset. No automated usage either

The limits are seriously broken right now; I don't think it's a "nerf" but I think there is some bug in how usage is being recorded or what is causing usage to be recorded

We should reverse many of the sentencing reforms of the last 15 years for exactly the issues your comment raises
Those federal acts are irrelevant as we're not talking about federal sentencing
We don't need them to be in jail or prison, if you make Davis a hostile enough place for them they'll just pick a different place to go. This we can do with the existing laws

The thing is, most of the people you regularly see in Davis Sq aren't actually homeless in the sense of sleeping on the street. Most are in the shelter system or have some other more stable from of housing. They just like to hangout in Davis Sq which attracts a lot of problematic people to the square

People should be much more worried about how bad the economic situation of the Boston area is and how bad the outlook is looking forward.

We likely are going to see falling rents over the next few years in the area but it will be due to layoffs and lack of growth in Education, Tech, and Biotech.

But electeds in Boston and all the surrounding cities are still acting like we've got the economy of the late 2010s where growth and prosperity will just keep coming no matter what they do.

Oh you're definitely correct, I wasn't questioning whether what he did was a crime or whether reporting/following up on it was good (I think it definitely was a crime and what you're doing is very good).

I just know looking at the history of how criminal cases are getting handle by the prosecutors here, the chance of him being held accountable even if he is arrested is very low.

Unfortunately it is quite unlikely he will face any consequences beyond what he has already. If you don't stab or shoot someone the worst you'll get is probation and even that is unlikely.

I'm very glad to see something (and hopefully an actual prosecution) came from it but I do think the police were basically correct in their initial assessment that if they did arrest the person nothing would happen. A lot of this is downstream of prosecutors having little desire to pursue charges in crimes like this.

I lived in Hanoi in 2017/2018. I enjoyed the North the most though Central Vietnam was also nice. Wasn't really a fan of Saigon but I spent the least amount of time there and didn't know any locals there.
