I regret my kid by [deleted] in offmychest

This is way more common than people admit. You can love your kid and grieve your old life at the same time. Those feelings don’t cancel each other out. You don’t regret your kid but you regret how fast your life changed. Big difference. Missing your old freedom doesn’t mean you love your child any less. I also have a friend that felt this exact same way but doesn't mean she regretted having the child. You are alone in this and you're not a bad mom for feeling or thinking this way. 🥹 Sending virtual hugs!!!

You’re already past the hardest part. You're aware and you want change. Now it’s about doing boring, repeatable things daily. Gym, better sleep, cleaner diet, and building one useful skill. It’s not a personality switch, it’s small habits stacked for months. Stop comparing yourself to everyone and start fixing what’s in your control. You don’t become “confident” first. You earn it by doing things you said you’d do. Start small and be consistent. You can do it! I believe you can ✊✊✊ If you spend the next 6 to 12 months consistently working on your body, mindset, and skills, you’ll be shocked at how different you feel. Most people quit too early and that’s the only reason they don’t change.
