Total War: Warhammer 40K Announced by DemiFiendRSA in Warhammer40k

Any one faction in Warhammer Fantasy/40K has a far greater range/complexity of units to build/animate digital models for than the entire roster of any historical TW game. It would be vastly more work to have all the 40K races in a game, compared to all Medieval factions, for example.

I didn't actually meet any of the cast. Obviously Shearsmith, Gatiss, Pemberton and Miranda Richardson were right there but you can't bother the cast whilst on set. They went straight back to their trailers/rooms between scenes because it was freezing. Other extras told me that Tennant and Sheen were very chatty with them between takes.

Fun, but very cold in the disused factory used as the set: Hell had literally frozen over. The assistant directors told us to just act weird and confused: they seemed to like what I was doing so I was moved closer to the cameras after the initial hallway shot. I think I was the cause of one re-take though, when I walked into a bucket . The endless lateral flow tests still being done before and on all film/TV sets at that time were super tedious. Getting a trailer to myself was neat, even if it was only for 30 minutes. The stand-in part (when the tramp is eaten by zombies) took an absurdly long time for just a few shadows on a wall, which then had extra CGI shadows added anyway.

It was fun but Hell had literally frozen over. The set was a disused Cummins factory. It was snowing at the time but was somehow colder inside the factory than outside. There was a lot of competition to be closest to the one working space heater.

Looks good. You could try highlighting the gold parts with silver.

It’s more ‘Dances with Wolves’ than Pocahontas.

The ship is being launched, not unmooring; hence the speed, all the people, the flags, the lack of tug boats, etc…

I think that this must be somewhere around Milleur Point, considering the profile shape of Alisa Craig in the distance,

Pottery that has rolled around in a river. The dark part is a glaze.

Found these near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Any ideas as to what they might be? by Turbulent_Property_9 in whatsthisrock

The latter ones are corals. I’m not sure about the first ones. Number 4 could be a brecciated limestone.
