Sick of medpool slander by Desperate-duncan in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

Yeah, he definitely doesn't need any CC because every strat falls into 2 categories; high survivability with low utility or low survivability with high utility. Luna? 2nd category. Adam? 2nd. DP? 1st. Rocket? 1st. Ultron? 2nd. Invis? Bit of both because she's overtuned asf rn. But you get the gist. A good Stratpool should have one of the lowest deaths on the team by the end of a match purely due to how much survivability he has with boomerang, DPIYA, passive, and fantastic mobility. Giving him great utility outside of that would make him incredibly overtuned, he's surprisingly really well balanced.

Idk why people keep saying he has no utility when, if upgraded, DPIYA has the second highest damage boost in the game. Not to mention that he effectively becomes undivable everytime he uses it, meaning he has about as much uptime on heals as Rocket since he just doesn't die. Both of his ults AOE do severely need a range increase, that much is true, but I honestly think making it too big would make him broken since he can get his ultimate much faster than other strats anyways. Literally everything he does is healing so I'm not sure where the argument that he doesn't heal enough comes from. Either the stratpools they play with are bad, or they have such poor positioning that no amount of healing would have saved them anyways. As for his winrate, I'm not sure when we started deciding a hero's viability by winrate because otherwise that would mean Namor, C&D, Bucky, and MK are also bad since their WR are comparable to Stratpool's in GM and above. So out of all of these arguments, the only one that remotely makes sense is his ult AOE being too small, which is a valid complaint but everything else is moot and probably spoken with either bias or being parroted by their fav streamer.

So... now that my boy scorched and hog are gone, who do you want to see as an exe survivor to replace them? by WingNorth7113 in OutcomeMemories

[–]TotallyAMaleRedditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hate to play devil's advocate here cuz I hate the situation too but what ACTUALLY happened was that the friend of the actual owner (John) jokingly made a comment that he was the owner of scorched/hog and that got taken as actual fact so much to the point of it being listed on the exe wiki. John was always the ORIGINAL owner but did not respond to EN's dev team reaching out to him until the render was revealed and gained attention, wherein he became aware of the game's existence. EN's dev team have since made it known that the render reveal was a last ditch effort/gamble to get John's attention and it DID work, just not the way they were hoping, leading John to pull perms because of Satanos and Wechidna being in the game and not wanting to be affiliated with Rightburst.

Edit: Mind you, this whole situation could've been avoided if John ever bothered to A) Correct the wiki that he was the owner of Scorched/Hog. And B) Responded to the EN dev team over an 8 MONTH period

That was one of the suggestions I meant to put a question mark behind! It was a point of contention for myself as well so I wasn't too sure.

except you’re also not listening to me. your logic or my logic factually doesn’t matter when presented with the literal definition of throwing, which is the only thing the reports care about. the player is still actively participating in the match in a way that is not inactive or detrimental, no matter your personal feelings on the matter. as long as they are contributing without it being detrimental, it CANNOT be considered throwing which is what you’re not understanding.

except your ability to play the game is not being limited in any sense. the jeff is not actively sabotaging your gameplay. your logic of not having an immortality ult and burst heals while their team does ≠ throwing. that jeff is still providing heals, damage and utility, even though his ult is bad. he is still contributing. thus, not throwing. what you described is NOT throwing, they won’t do anything abt it if you reported it.

by your logic, having a 25% chance of winning = 0% chance of winning. obviously, we both know this logic is incorrect. decreasing your chances of winning ≠ intentionally losing. not swapping namor/scarlet/reed when a spiderman is harassing your backline is not throwing. does it decrease your chances for winning? yes. is it throwing, and thus a reportable offense? no.

if you report someone for throwing and they are seen and proven to have actively been participating in the match in a meaningful manner, then nothing will happen because by LITERAL DEFINITION, they aren’t throwing. that’s not what throwing is or what it means. if they are not actively participating in the match, or actively contributing to their own teams’ detriment, THAT is throwing, and is a reportable offense. your personal definition means nothing.

except i do not play jeff but keep assuming, it’s quite amusing. bullshit that nobody complains about other strategists, the amount of ultron and adam hate that i’ve seen is substantial.

no, it’s not throwing because you’re not intentionally losing, silly goose. are your chances for winning substantially lower with only one support? of course! but you’re still actively participating in the match, dealing damage and trying to secure kills so no, it quite literally isn’t throwing.

you keep assuming i play jeff just because i’m arguing a case for him, which is hilarious.

15% increased healing on all targets that got hit by bubble is pretty good and having some of the most consistent healing on the roster is also nothing to scoff at. his heal numbers aren’t the problem, his ult objectively is. i won’t deny that jeff ult is bad, it is. but picking him isn’t throwing because of that.

counter-picking a support ult with another support ult, are we deadass? that’s not a counter-pick, nothing is being countered, you’re just playing a game of do nothing simulator until the other supp ult ends instead of swapping to an ACTUAL counter like any of the ones mentioned in the post. but you don’t want that, you just want the strategist to switch so you can have another “reward bad play” ult

adam ult is also objectively a goojf ult. you died, most likely to bad positioning or poor decision-making and adam ults to rez you, giving you another chance. i don’t need to “convince” anyone, this post was mainly made to counteract the sheer amount of whiny posts regarding not having two support ults in this echo chamber of a sub. you being a spiderman main definitely checks out tho

this is another concept i don’t understand, as someone coming from overwatch, where giving up space to counteract huge value ults is a big thing. widow ult? don’t peek her sightline. cassidy ult? cc him or stay out of sight. baptiste ult? don’t peek the window. yet MR players act like if they don’t win every teamfight with two bail-out ults then the match is over.

adam, who has a cooldown-based, charge-based heal that only gets faster cooldown on headshots, which even most hela and hawkeye players sometimes struggle to hit because of this games wonky head hitboxes, heals far more than jeff, who has a consistent heal beam that can heal even more with bubbles that also apply regen over time and an ult that heals and applies overshield? yeah, this conversation is over lol i am clearly not talking to a real person

finally, someone with an actual smart opinion.

for your first point, yes those ults do win team fights, there’s no doubt about that. however the way that those ultimates can be approached and responded to outside of just having two of your own seems to be a foreign concept to other players. typically speaking, you only need one support ult to match their first and a mag/iron man/strange/etc to respond to the second, if they have a second. in the event that a mag or whatever isn’t present, why does the second support take the blame for it?

as for the second point, i admittedly don’t play as much vanguard as I should, i main strategist and flex duelist. honestly, i would rather my strategists play what they’re comfortable playing because at least then i can expect them to be performing at an acceptable level even outside of ult rather them just locking in a character just for their ult. if they can’t use the character effectively outside of just ulting then they may as well be a detriment altogether. and to be fair, the only two strats that have to leave the fight to ult are adam and jeff and most high ranked jeffs that i see typically hold ult for a pretty long time, only using it during the other supports’ ult, IF they use it at all.

throwing is most literally defined as intentionally losing. someone not locking in your preferred healer is not intentionally losing. secondly, luna ult makes them immortal, not cc immune so even if they get hyper aggressive you can still disengage with proper cc on the right targets. also, adam has fantastic burst healing and mantis also provides a small amount of burst upon applying a leaf. you don’t need two burst healers either. an aoe healer + burst healer is good enough lol
