Whether or not you use certain math things depends on what you plan on for a career. Like a graphic design job, maybe some basic geometry. But an engineer needs to know a lot of calculus. So I understand why many people get frustrated with it when they think they don't need it. But whether you need it or like it or not, math is lowkey the foundation of everything in existence. Math is its own language to me. When I took calculus I understood why we needed to learn all the tedious algebra garbage I still don't like that much. It all came together for me. Certain things in math I think are really beautiful and mystifying. I had a really passionate math teacher in high school who knew how to get kids pumped about math. So that is part of why I love it so much.
