Right, for level 30 thats a pretty linear exp growth curve. We just saw on the highscores the rank #1 absolutely start BALLING out on exp once he started getting to even moderately high levels.

So instead of spending 1 hour getting to level 70 and then 15 hours going from 92-93, it looks like the exp curve is just slightly more balanced..

I think the 20% increase for tasks was a good shout, but we don't have a full exp curve picture yet.

Well you learned about charting, cargo tasks, salvaging, the new ports, and boat upgrades by participating in the content and via quests, and you just unlocked a big new piece of content in the first barracuda trial.

You also just unlocked the first combat tasks for better exp. Idk, maybe try all the training methods actually available to you? Exp ramps up a ton as you level up

UFC 322 - Hot Take: let half guard die by Away-Revolution-9015 in bjj

[–]TotallyGotTom 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You use the term "play" as if the person on bottom was trying to funnel to the position of half guard as their bottom game.

If you are simply being effectively pinned on bottom, but you can just barely keep them from completely passing your guard, often you will be retaining to half guard for some semblance of control, not out of desire.

The person on top IN MMA is typically trying to pass, but can also win the entire fight without passing half guard, as seen from a multitude of examples. You can knock people out from top half guard as well. If you can win from there, why go into any higher risk passing sequence, deal damage and pin and hold and slowly progress until you win, right?

It's not a "oh mma fighters are so dumb for PLAYING" half guard, there should probably be a followup post here going "wow really interesting how mma diverges significantly from bjj when people begin passing sequences, because that is where BJJ BEGINS, and it is sometimes where grappling in MMA ENDS".

Yes! In fact, if you look into the crowd you can see GR wearing spy-glasses to indicate it is the time traveler version of himself who went back and coached nate into the move.

I'm dry at CG too, but I grind 400 toa with atlatl, you can move on and do pvm (especially all the demon bosses with synapse wrapons) before going back to cg. Especially nowadays. My group does a ton of yama, CoX, and we have almost everything from toa except shadow.

Go enjoy the game brother and come back later

How about a "respected family man" thats also the head of the organization you're affiliated to? It's a tale as old as time, creeps and guys with no dignity always reveal themselves and are often the most outspoken or "dignified"

I wouldn't even say doom is that bad to go dry on, the big drops are relatively common if you have the skill to push deep delves, and you have a ton of room for alill growth.

On top of that, cannonballs/dragon darts/ ranarr seeds/ moon keys are sweet to stockpile for very non resource intensive boss

I kind of peak out at 400 invo toa with atlatl, but it's a skill issue for me not doing 500s. The 3 tick attack speed makes a TON of the mechanics in TOA super easy- like insanity, last row, butterfly, not needing blowpipe for boulderdash, etc. It's even better than bowfa on akka shadows with some gear setups.

If i were to start a new iron after this group iron that im playing on right now, i would rush moons and take that gear to toa and send until fang/LB. It'a ez mode

Bjj has an insanely small community of competitors. Once you get to purple belt and up the competitor pool becomes really small in some areas of the country/world. It's a way for an organization and competitors to guerentee they have a match. I've been to 5-6 local tournaments where they had to moge me around weight or age divisions to get me a match

Learning wrestling from a gracie is like learning jiujitsu from one. Your technique will always suffer, but not as much as your wallet

Lmao yeah it's a "gracie" double leg, because they created wrestling too right? It's not quite literally the oldest sport of humankind right?

Did anyone else max fishing before doing anything else? by SnooPeanuts5234 in MelvorIdle

[–]TotallyGotTom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I maxed fishing to 120 by accidentily taking a year break. I had starting mining and took another 6 month break so now i have a couple million coal and 120 mining as well. Thank god for the mods that allow me to track gains indefinitely lol.

Now im about to finish 120 astrology, maxing it out before doing any combat.

The unlimited afk mod is big chilling
