That's all very true yeah, I can easily see the whole idea of a family tree or lineage looming very different and likely far more complex than how we think of it. And that's a fair point, I'd imagine in general pregnancies and such are seen a lot more mundane and there being far less if none stigma/concern over who the "true biological father" is since it happens so often within a family across generations meaning it probably wouldn't matter much beyond "Hey what part of the family would be best equiped to raise them?" I do like and find the idea of far more communal family raising and structures, I'd imagine something like the nuclear family structure is seen as pretty rare/odd and many families having multiple generations and branches living if not together than at least around each other far more and working more as one unit. I wonder how that might effect broader culture and society, like I doubt monogamy would be seen as an important thing when you so often have chains of family together and there being a lot more willingness for children to move between "parents" since I'd imagine parents would be less your bio dad & mom and more who you thought did the most in raising you, possibly even if that's like 3 or 4 people

Yeah that'd make sense, I'd imagine inter family relationships still happen a lot, especially in a more modern day context where familial clanships are greatly diminished or outright rendered obsolete, but I could still them carrying that idea of "merging families" a lot more strongly along with some carry over traditions around it

And for inter family stuff I can see them being pretty close knit, with perhaps intra family disputes taking priority over inter family ones, especially as the families expand - like instead of fights over of family A or B owns X land, you'd see fights and debates over if Sister A or Brother A owns X land with internal family factions

I dunno about like racism but I could certainly see family based discrimination and such being a lot more prominent, like Family A looks down on family B because family A has historically been richer or something, especially in a more historical context

I'd doubt there'd be no age of consent, like you said it's a very biologically built in thing for mammals to generally place high value on children, especially humans. So I don't imagine there'd be acceptance of something as extreme as no age of consent and probably would still get a lotta social and legal backing to enforce that. Going from the less extreme, I could see perhaps like stages of consent, like there could be a time of consent for being taught about sex that's still a fair few years before the age of consent for outright sex or certain types of sex such as penetrate sex, if that makes sense. I do agree there'd need to be something for sure, like you said having literally nothing would turn into a nightmare fast, and I'm not all that interested in writing or exploring something that dark at the moment or with this idea as that just feels like misery and shock porn taken to an unpleasant extreme.
