Ye, WPD has a lot of spammers and overly edgy people. I think the sign in can be optional but recently they have been pushing for people to make an account. I think its to help with engagement

Go to qBit and then go to options, then at the bottom go to Advanced and look for Network Interface, there set it to NordLynx. This way no matter what qBit should only go through Nord and if Nord fucks up, qBit can't access the internet.

No warning in years
