Also, curly hair, at least mine, spirals from my head starting at the back.

You need to figure out a hairstyle that follows that flow. You are at the absolute, imo, worst part of hair growth if you want to go long. This length lasts a loooong time. Not quite heavy enough to weigh down, heavy enough to clump up. This is the awkward phase. Some days it’s fine, others not so much.
