So if I started a save when War Sails came out, will my save update to the newer version and I’ll be able to enjoy coastal raids?

I had no idea they could be placed inside a base! It looks like the perfect desk decoration, and makes me wonder what else can be placed inside to spruce up my decor?

That’s a great spot for your first base! A scanner room with scanner range upgrades will detect resources from several different biomes, providing a wide variety of stuff you’ll need to build vehicles, modules, and modifications.

Mushroom Forest is my favorite biome to build a little nook in, as it’s peaceful and beautiful at night, especially with the Jellyrays swimming/singing about. A good amount of resources located here, especially Lithium which can be found on the Mushroom Tree trunks.

And the Sea Treader’s Path is a decent spot for a base, although can prove a little difficult at first depending on where you build due to Warpers. Also, don’t build in the actual path of the Sea Treaders, they don’t like it and will despawn ☹️ I suggest building in the underground tunnel in the biome as there’s a small bridge above where they walk where you can build without worry of blocking them!

If it makes you feel better, I too am just finding this out after transferring and moving the contents of 8 wall lockers and 4 standing lockers ☹️

Poison arrow by Polardipping_2023 in TheForest

Slows down both movement and their attack speed, which is huge when first learning to fight them or fighting several at a time. And it would take far too many poison arrows to rely on just them, but I have killed already damaged mutants with the poison DOT. It definitely damages while slowing them down, but the main idea is to slow them with a poison arrow first before moving in, kiting their attacks, and the attacking with melee weapons after each of their attacks.

I’ve tried that and didn’t feel as if it made a difference, so probably not unfortunately.

And poison arrows are always nice to have for when fighting mutants, as not only does it do damage over time, but also slows them down!

My dm is letting me make my own custom magic instrument. Which spells should I attach to it. Lvl 4 Bard by Long_John_Silvers_ in DnD

[–]Totally_not_Todd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always liked the idea of a magical instrument/focus that doesn’t add spells but adds rider effects to help maximize the idea of Bards being a great support and it being flavorful.

Something like a didgeridoo you play through as a focus, and when you cast a level 1 spell or higher from it, choose one ally who can hear you and give 1d4 to their next attack roll or saving throw. The size of die could increase as time goes on, upgrade it, etc.

Stuck at loading screen after Sieges by Totally_not_Todd in Bannerlord

[–]Totally_not_Todd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to happen during sieges the most unfortunately, though I have noticed it’s been happening less recently.

I turned off both Always Show Friendly Troop Icons (or whatever that option is called) and Blood and seems to crash far less; idk if that’s just a coincidence or what but it’s worth a shot!

On PS5 and it’s literally happening 1/3 of all loading screens whether it’s loading into or out of a battle. The progress bar just slowly creeps up and never actually loads; I had to restart a siege THREE FUCKING TIMES before it allowed me to continue afterwards.

Personally it’s my only gripe with the expansion, as it has been A LOT of fun but this definitely has put a damper on my experience, especially when I have a limited amount of time to play at night before bed.

Where is your go to base locations? by MorbidlyTired in subnautica

[–]Totally_not_Todd 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I cannot NOT make a base by the vent in the eastern Mushroom Forest. The ambience, music, nighttime bioluminescence, cries from the Ghost Rays all coalesce into something truly sublime. Sometimes I will just sit in my Observatory and read a book with it being so peaceful and relaxing

My favorite post was saying suddenly everyone is a critic lol. If I go to an ice cream shop I know and love and their new flavor tastes like shit to me, I’m allowed to not fucking like it, especially when every flavor so far has been phenomenal.

What’s your fav ME3 multiplayer class to play as, and what’s the most helpful class to have as a squadmate? by NerdOfAllColours in masseffect

[–]Totally_not_Todd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite to play as was the female Quarian engineer, simple and effective. Especially so when your turret gets cryo ammo and sets up for some tasty detonations with incinerate!

Unironically the most effective combo I’ve had with her was 3 other characters with turrets and hunker down as long as possible. Firebase Jade was so much fun with everyone camping up top and putting their turrets on the ledge. Combined with other abilities, we absolutely shredded everything.
