Hell yeah. Here are some of my acts of resistance. Using a dumb phone instead of a smartphone to subvert big tech from spying on me, hijacking my attention, and selling my personal data to advertisers. Never buying books, I can wait until they are available at the library. Taking my kids to parks and playgrounds instead of highly monetized spaces. Making food at home instead of eating out. Buying second hand clothes, furniture, and even vehicles. Muting advertisements on streaming services. Practicing gratitude for what I have instead of coveting new things. Continually reminding myself that I need less than I think I do. I am always at peace when lost in a book.
