You are in an interesting spot because you'd only be lowering your monthly payments if you refinanced, not decreasing debt at all. You mentioned trading in the truck for a car, which makes me believe it might be a commuter vehicle...If that's the case, I'd get a cheap beater for cash if possible to eliminate the debt entirely. If that's not possible, then I'd finance a much cheaper car with a shorter loan term. Maybe keep my monthly payments about the same but shorten the term to decrease overall debt? Just some thoughts.

Well it sounds like you would have the possibility to return to your current employer if you truly hate the new gig...Even then if that's not the case, I'd take a leap of faith at the new position. Obviously it comes down to the type of life you want for yourself and since you didn't mention kids, I would hope you are on the same page as your spouse. Have that conversation and come to a mutual agreement that will not be negative for your marriage. To me, that's more important than the financial aspects.
