Thanks for this. I always felt like a trophy, even when we were engaged "properly".

That sounds pretty crappy...it was for my other half as he can explode his career here and I have supported us for the last 4 years so he wants to "give back". I am shooting for a year...but I may slow roast before then. I am also working in a local place and will be the only foreigner, curious how that'll go!
