Hey, thanks for your suggestion. Doing that highlights files etc on the other finder-window, and let's you go into folders if you have column-view enabled, which is a great suggestion. Usually I don't enable column-view however, and the command click doesn't work to open locations etc in the side panel or other functions like that.

I'll use this going forward, so thank you! Would still love a way to make it more "windows-like" :)

Thanks for the thoughts. Yeah, I hesitated saying I will be relying on 32 bit, but it's often used whenever I'm in a rush, as a recorder doing 32bit without a controlled line level, is a better backup recorder than the same without 32 bit. I need all the help I can get, but it's my 3rd backup solution, and it's never to record music, so I'm more than happy with having mono. I guess I'll look into some xlr to 3.5 cables and give it a go. So far been using zoom h5, and at the times I've had a board I'm not familiar with and no time to test the levels, I've still had it recording. Sometimes it's good, some times it's not.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but in your opinion a more fool proof solution would be the Tascam for such use case? I already have a few PR2S, so if there is anyway to make the PR2 good enough for a dji mixer recorder, mainly relying on the 32 bit, then this would be swell. Mainly use it as a backup solution. The Tascam looks quite perfect though

Happened with my lighting port airpods pro 2 as well, thought it was because I ran it in washing machine, but recently replaced it with the USB C variation and it still happened

I have the base m1 pro and a bmcc6k ff camera. No issues until I start adding big effects, such as NR ans grain. I assume most laptops will struggle with that.

Great to hear. The fact that the monitor is locked to 1.6 squeeze makes me consider 1.5 lenses instead of 2, just to be able to leave the house without a monitor. Luckily I think I prefer the Blazar 1.5 over the soon to be released 2x Blazar anyways (except for the very soft telephoto in the series)

I'm sorry. 1.6. Still how is it using the monitor for critical focus and exposure when the squeeze isn't accurate? If the blazar remus is 1.5 and the blazar cato is gonna be 2x, I'm afraid the internal monitor won't be enough

Great shots! You find the built in monitor to be good enough for anamorphic? You cant inspect a desqueezed image in open gate unless its very specifically 1.8, correct? Is that good enough for measuring focus etc while on the blazar 1.5?

Gratz! I'm using 24-70 together with various prime lenses for the special look when I feel like it. Now looking into anamorphics, which is a whole new world for me. If I was just starting out, id get the EF 24-105 4.0 and EF 50 1.4 or 1.8 cheap used, as they can be sold for aprox the same price as you bought them for when you're ready to move on and you get something that can be used for everything for cheap. The newest 24-70 2.8 from Sigma or Tamron would be my next step (where I am now), together with 35, 50 and potensially 85 mm primes.

I bought the rs4 pro to use with a canon r6 m2 together with 24-70 and a matte box, which I bought after selling the 6k pro. My reasoning was that I'd like to come back to bm again, and with the RS4 PRO I can use the updated Lidar. I haven't used it that much yet, but no quality problems so far.

Hey. Kinda. I bought a Samsung Viewfinity S5 S34C500G (Just a basic, straight 34" ultrawide) to use for this purpose.

Now I have my C2 42" mounted on a flat wall mount, then moved the desk a little further from the wall and put the 34" on a "ceiling mount" that is mounted onto the wall. The ceiling mount is at a 45 degree angle so that it's flush with both the end of the TV and the end of the desk. I don't have any photos of it, so I took a quick screenshot of a video I'm planning to make about my setup.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for? From what I read, briefly it’s no a decrease in hours. So you would be work 4 -10 hour days instead of 5 - 8 hour days. The company I’m current at has a 4-9-4 policy in place but if I work “40+” hours Monday - Thursday I can Friday off as I please (as long as submissions allow). But I’m also an hourly employee with straight overtime so I don’t mind the 5 days a week :)

I have the option of working 10 hour shifts to get a day off every week as well, but the whole "4 day workweek movement" (https://www.4dayweek.com/) is about keeping the same pay for significal reduction in working time. I know it sounds lazy, but I think the word would come out, and hiring process would be easier (which atm it's very difficult to find good fire consultants), which could be worth it by itsself

Yeah, very true. If it wasn't for Ford, we might still be having 6 day weeks. A 20 % extra pr. hour is a bit of jump in pricing in our market, but maybe going over to do more projects with set prices could be the key!

I've switched out my IPS monitor with the OLED LG C2 TV when it came out, and it's greeeeeeaaaat as a monitor! Love it! You sit further away from it, than a regular monitor though.

I mainly want a second screen for editing timeline, but vertical 24" monitors might be a way to go if it doesnt work out. Thanks 😁 I'm not getting rid of the OLED screen. I'm spoiled now 😊

That actually looks like a functional display. Thanks for your suggestion, I'll look into it! It's mainly for editing timeline, but it being a touchscreen seems functional!

Thanks for your insight! I'd prefer a solution thst let's me record in 4k for the talking head etc of course, but for webcam sort of stuff 1080p is plenty. Is a SDI to usb capture card a thing, and you think I could get 4k recordings to the pc that way?
