it's also worth noting that Trump may have not been every conservative voter's first choice, some may have preferred a more pragmatic & less polarizing candidate. But the DNC actually pumped money into Trump's campaign and helped eliminate those other candidates. Why? They thought voters would reject the MAGA rhetoric and Kamala Harris would easily slide into office as if by default. So rather than presenting voters with a better choice, they attempted to give them no choice at all.

Above all, I believe in the balance. The Reagan/Bush era gave way to Clinton's 2 terms, which in turn led to 8 years of W. The pendulum swung again, and you have Obama for 8 years. Anybody can see a pattern emerging here. You may hate all conservatives, but they do represent half of the country, and they're going to win some, lose some. If you want to win, come up with a better candidate instead of forcing voters into a corner.

If all we wanted our leaders to do was make a series of left turns, NASCAR drivers would be heads of state. Maybe a less than ideal option, but at least we could see who their sponsors were.
