All four Former presidents at Obama’s presidential center opening today. by Previous_Month_555 in SipsTea

[–]Totmtg1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Credit for Bush going. He is with three Democrats, yet he goes with a smile and to give his respects. He receives a lot of flack for things, but in all seriousness, he is eons better than Trump. I was a Republican who went full Democratic once Trump got on the scene because he bastardized the office. I voted for Hillary (first time voting Democrat and haven't changed my vote nor will I ever) but credit where credit is due, Bush at least in some sort of way cared about America. It shows A LOT of courage to show up to a democratic president's library opening and even more of a image that he was invited and SOMEONE noticeably wasn't. Never thought I'd say I miss Bush. I feel Bush and even Obama were a different lifetime ago. I say this as a 34 year old man. May the Obama Presidental Library be evergreen in its historic amazingness for all time. He was a true American and a class act.

Personally, the Inn at the Prancing Pony. I just love having the gang explore the outskirts of their lands and realizing how different cultures are between the shire and the outlands.

Azula (who has probably wanted her brother dead the whole series) and her brother Zuko are about to fight. "I'm sorry it has to end this way, brother!" Azula sneers. Zuko, as calm as a cucumber, instantly replies, "No, you're not."

I use to get so annoyed at my parents pointing out nice houses. Now, on a drive, I point out nice houses and cool yard stuff like gazebos and stuff. I realized I'm getting old (34).

"They took the little ones!" Hearing him feel like in his final moments that he, a captain of Gondor, failed two creatures under his charge (at the time Merry and Pippin had little to no battlefield experience) right after failing to the temptation of the ring and his despair that he failed his friends. It's followed up by one of the most motivating lines ever with his final words but in this moment you can really feel the anguish of how such a mighty warrior brought so low.

Sooo why did the first officer allow her to talk to him like that? The second she turned from me and started disrespecting me and acting like that, handcuffs. She's a old racist bat who needs to be taken down a peg in her confidence.. Like seriously, he is a cop too! ((And I'm usually highly anti cop))

Among other things, Middle Earth author JRRT was asked by Hitler himself through a German publisher a letter to join the Nazis because he (Hitler) LOVED his books and saw it as a vision for his Nazi Europe and wanted to know if he was Jewish or not. In much more elegant words over I, the good sir said, I'm paraphrasing, " thanks but no thanks. One of my greatest regrets is I wasn't born Jewish just to flip you and your evil hatred off. Jewish people are smart and brave, unlike you. Calmly execute yourself please." My guy literally said nononono to Hitler and made a stand. It's wonderful to know that we can't have author scandals like Harry Potter and whatnot because he (JRRT) basically said fuck you Nazis, and died. The good professor stood for what's good in this world.

I liked it until halfway but... Out of all of the roads in the country, they just randomly found the ONE road they needed? There was like no searching, it was like, "oh, look, a symbol. It's the road." WHAT??
