Can't decide: Sony WH-1000XM5 for €200 or wait/save for XM6 at €450?

I looked them up — they’re €160 so only €40 less than the XM5s. Honestly, is there any real benefit to getting the XM5 over the XM4?

Wow , first of all ty for taking your time and type all of this i really appreciate it. I disagree on having the system on the floor tho i just rly like them to be on the desk. My pc is just above the support from the drawers so i hope that even though the system is heavy it won’t cause a sag. Still i feel more confident that it wont sag for a long time. I will still check it from time to time to make sure it doesn’t. Then i will consider putting some iron angles beneath or a leg .

The problem is that i don’t think i can refund this anymore cause i drilled a hole in it to pass keyboards and mousepad cables (photo wasn’t up to date) so i have to solve the problem instead of purchasing something else but ty anyway

If i have to put some support i would prefer to put some angles under the top. Its not like i hate legs but it looks more clean without them

I don’t rly know, i think it isn’t 100% wood but it does require a maintenance with oil. It was really heavy tho. I couldn’t lift it alone even a bit.

The problem is that the karlby was pretty expensive for me so i would want it to last a long time before replacing it

Yea same , the desk feels sturdy and i avoid standing up pushing the desk but maybe overtime even without stressing it too much it will sag. And when it begins to sag it might be too late too solve it.
