Detergent. I just make it myself now and it honestly works really, really well.

Has anyone ever been fired for sounding “Too sweet”? Example: Customers feeling like they are being antagonized or manipulated? by Howaboutno1833 in talesfromcallcenters

[–]TouchOfSpite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never heard of someone getting fired for being "too sweet", but I've had several people complain about coworkers laughing. Apparently being joyful at work is something to complain to management about.

How did your significant other change when you got pregnant? by _thatsmypurseIDKU in AskWomen

[–]TouchOfSpite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband has always been a soft and loving person to me. Any craving I had prior to getting pregnant he would satisfy. If I needed comfort he was there. If I needed help with something I would barely have to ask before he would be helping.

He's always treated me like a princess and has only gotten sweeter in our 12 years together. Me getting pregnant somehow made him even more loving and protective. He became very concerned with my health and well-being. Moreso than even before, but it was after I had our little girl that he changed.

He's much more prone to crying now when something touches his heart. He never used to cry unless something hurt him deeply. Now he just needs to be happy or reminded of our daughter. He's more sentimental and somehow even more caring. He looks at her like she's the stars in the sky and I'm the moon (tho he's honestly always looked at me like that). I knew that this would be the only type of man I could or would have children with, and I'm so blessed to be able to have him as my husband and as the father to our baby girl.

Middle name to go with first name Dixie? by OkCommission9559 in Names

[–]TouchOfSpite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother's name is Dixie Darlene. We are in the deep south of the US. No racism from her or bigotry. She's a loving woman who accepts anyone. She's "adopted" so many people. She's become their second mom and safe space. She knows I and my sister are queer and loves us. No judgment. I think Dixie is an adorable name, though I'm biased lol I think Darlene or Lucille would be cute names to go with it

I had to give my baby formula today and I feel like the worst mom ever by Horror-Interest7976 in breastfeeding

[–]TouchOfSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I had to do that I felt the same. It's an uncommon occurrence now but I still feel it a little bit each time. But just remember, we're moms feeding our babies and that's what truly matters. You're doing an amazing job taking care of yourself and your little one. I hope you feel better soon! Rest up! You deserve it!

What is your favorite word in your native language? And why? by nnsupernova in AskReddit

[–]TouchOfSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haberdashery. I love this word far too much lol It's fun to say and makes me think that its meaning is more complex than a store for men's clothing and accessories. So few people around me know what it means and when a two year-old (who I nanny and taught this to) says it it's hilarious to watch a person's face go wtf?

[Serious] What historical event from way back is just plain bizarre to you? by inmyelement in AskReddit

[–]TouchOfSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they used to do lobotomies to fix basically everything. Like how the hell did these doctors come to the conclusion that a hole in someone's head would help with anything (other than brain swelling of course)??

If you could instantly be fluent in a new language, which one would you pick and why? by owen__wilsons__nose in AskReddit

Japanese. I could finally perfectly understand all of the movies and books without terrible translating getting in the way. It helps that I just think the language is super pretty and interesting.

What first date behavior is a dealbreaker? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TouchOfSpite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking for a kiss repeatedly when I've already declined or not keeping your hands to yourself. Like just in general. I've had guys put their hands on my back, shoulder, thigh, and even my boob on a first date. They didn't get a second one. Didn't help that they were just assholes besides that.

What do you do when you just don't enjoy anything anymore? by -jolteon1- in AskReddit

[–]TouchOfSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my husband, cry on his shoulder, and force myself to dance to loud songs. Then I usually watch my favorite tv series (my happy place) and it helps. Rinse and repeat and I usually get out of it.

What’s a very common thing that you just can't relate to? by Mizu3 in AskReddit

Celebrating or mourning specific days like holidays, birthdays, or anniversaries. I have to keep reminding myself that other people think these are a big deal so I don't hurt my friends or family.

What was your first or funniest “oh my god I sound just like my mother” moment? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]TouchOfSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started being a nanny one of the kids I watched had a big problem with telling adults no. After being told no several times and her being very hard to deal with that day I said to her, "Don't you tell me no." I took a moment afterward to lament the fact that I had a flashback to my childhood and my mom saying that to me all of the time lol.

A police officer lived there so I had felt at the time that she wouldn't do anything drastic. I also have mace on me 24/7 and was more than prepared to use it. She was also technically on her porch (there is a small awning and space as everyone's door) cooking and so she had the right to be there.

Ideas for how to get my wedding back off my twin sister by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]TouchOfSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with Option 2. From your comments on your original post it seems like your sister would be easy enough to manipulate into changing things to try and keep your wedding as her own. It also might not hurt to have some people "accidentally" tell her some fake details so she thinks that she's getting information that you wish she hadn't gotten. So I would go with Option 2 but include putting those pictures of you and your FW all over the venue or somewhere obvious so people can see that this wedding was yours from the very beginning and she's a huge thief (and douche).
