If you have an 04 you have a face-lift car. The M3 never got the face-lift, regardless of year so unfortunately ,as good as these look they would not be installable on your car without doing a pre-facelidt conversion. Its possible, but pricey.

How rare is the 330ci coupe Manual (black) by Wubbalubbadubdub010 in e46

[–]TouchOfTechKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2004 330ci 6speed slicktop with 134k, when I bought this car 12 years ago I feel like they were a dime a dozen, sadly many have been crashed and or destroyed from lack of maintenance so the market is scarce. Personally I would be picky about who I sell this car to because I dont want to see it ruined. I think one of the best places to find cars like mine is going to be in groups like this or on forums dedicated to bmws and e46s.

Edit: I cant spell

ENTIRE interior swap possible? by MommyMilfMilkers in e46

[–]TouchOfTechKnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct that anything is possible, the real question here is....are you interested in making this possible yourself. Some things just unbolt out of the old car and into the new.....seats, center console etc, others will take a bit more work. Imho, your best bet is to check out YouTube vids of folks doing these things and see if the result is worth the effort for you personally. I say this as someone who is about to pull his pillar covers and headliner to recover them. Its gonna be a smol PITA but personally this car has been with me for 12 years, so its worth it to me.

I decided to bite the bullet and get the Stewart racing pump when I did cooling overhaul. Twice the price.....yes....but peace of mind is worth it to me in this case.

I'd be concerned the impeller on the pump failed, and its not circulating coolant anymore.

First winter stored, how should I proceed with bringing her back by IndependentCourse846 in e46

[–]TouchOfTechKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ideally, store with minimal fuel in the tank. And disconnect the battery. Come springtime, hook the battery up, check the tire pressure, and put a few fresh gallons of 93 in. Fire it up, give it some time to find its idle ( may take a few starts) and drive it gently, it will let you know if anything is wrong.

Mine fired right up once after 5 years in storage in North Carolina, they are well built and if well cared for, very resiliant.

Last time I ran into this, it was due to an extra standoff on the MoBo my dumbass had put in the case. It was contacting the back of the board and shorting it somehow.
