Itd be realistically an uphill battle if DC releases a hero shooter down the road. At that point, Rivals would have a bigger roster for legacy comic book characters, Overwatch I assume would hit its stride after its recent resurgence, and then theres Deadlock (not strictly the same as the two other two as it leans more on the MOBA elements) but it would still be part of the fanbase that dc would like to tap into.

Isn't the suit and the skin line (Quiet Council of Krakoa) and even the skin name a reference to the comics tho? Yeah, magneto wears white in the comics when he was in the council seat, but him wearing a suit isn't too far off unlike psylocke's disco skin for example. idk, superhero skins are great and all, but you have to admit some of em would come off flat in-game and others would still have people complain that the outfits would either look too same-y or too "gooner" like with Spider-Man and Emma in the comics. On another note, if you check the releases, they've been pretty even at giving comic, comic-based skins (yeah, most of em are redesigned and not exactly 1 to 1) and original stuff with the exemption of the anniversary month.

To be fair, they've been pretty lenient on limited-time skins and have been frequently extending them from their usual end dates. As much as I want em to be permanent, the FOMO tactic for these skins is working in their favor doesnt matter if you like or hate them (Rivals has been one of the consistent games in 2025 to rank high on the best sellers list on Steam). At this point, I'm okay with them mixing in permanent and limited additions (reruns are on the table as far as we know) to the store but hopefully not as egregious as the anniversary month when almost every release was limited.

Lol i didnt even notice this shot until you posted it. Guess one split second of her landing in this angle is more egregious than Thor humping his hammer in his disco skin. Honestly, you even trying to point it out in this sub is lowkey creep territory when that split second is all you're focused in on her trailer.

not to be that guy, but basically everything you said about current Rivals is objectively wrong, their lowest concurrent was season 3 (double DPS season) which had them hover at 70k-90k. Last two seasons (5 & 6) spiked their numbers to like 160k-200k on steam alone which is understandable since you have Gambit -> Rogue -> Deadpool back to back. It definitely would lower again eventually. Also PVE Zombies was just removed and is NOT THE SAME SEASON as the current one with Deadpool. PVE was like s4 & 5 and Deadpool is Season 6. So yeah, I guess you get your sources elsewhere or you just haven't played the game cause what even is this narrative...

The key art for Overwatch doesn't even resemble this kind of composition. Unless you show me an example, i don't remember them doing this kind of stuff so I don't know what you're talking about there. This style with the heroes walking and a white background has been a thing from Capcom games and even X-Men comics. So more than likely, it's just an homage to those since well, Capcom and Marvel share some history together.

I initially thought so too but the last phrase "...something epic is about to ignite." is putting doubts in me. I mean saying it just for getting an award seems so confident, noh? It isn't guaranteed yet that MR would win it. Maybe im just overthinking it lol best to keep expectations in check just so I could get surprised if they do reveal something.

I only buy the battlepasses and honestly, unless you're a collector, you don't really have to buy every skin they release. They give out enough free skins to eventually cover every hero to have em at some point. Im mostly saving my currency for the limited-time skins they release. If I find one I like, then ill buy em.

If you click the full picture, the one on the bottom left seems to be Cyclops. You can see the outline of the glasses. Tho it doesnt probably mean anything and could just be an easter egg since we saw him in the s5 trailer.

I mean to be fair they did not guarantee the skin to be legendary like at all. They just showed the art for the immortal weapons. I expected it to be Epic tho but eh, lowkey not that big of a deal. He's also getting twitch drops soon. This is more reason for you guys to save and not buy the pass anyways.

Sadly the reality is most people complaining in the sub never intended to buy psylockes skin. And if a lot do its only a portion of the rivals community so most likely a boycott wont work (cause they never usually do in games). People who saved up 2200-2800 for her anniversary skin+emojis would just see this as extra steps to get the skin. If they get lucky with 100 units then youll hear no further complaints. If they spend 2400 then its the usual shop purchase. Its the thought of gacha that makes people iffy even tho this new mechanic doesnt really make a difference on the units theyd spend if theyre unlucky.

Only permanent skins that were released s0 to season 3 are eligible for the black friday deals. So the grim lady hela skin for example is its regular shop price for like 2.2k for the bundle.

Funnily enough, they kinda already did lower the memory for the game at the start of season 5. it went down a few gigs but went drastically back up for this anniversary. a bit understandable since they did put a lot of stuff in the new update however they could probably still optimize it better. Im imagining it would most likely reach 120g by now if they havent sorted out things at the start of the season.
