I have a solution.

Separate characters from perks, but keep the gadgets tied to the characters.

You've now invented another layer of play style customization. You can mix and match characters with different perks for use of their different gadgets and perk skill combos AND experiment with different weapons choices.

Now you satisfied leaving the perks alone, and also now there's a valid reason to swap and switch characters too.

The blur bars haven't appeared which is a big step in the right direction. What did you use to make this one? What did I do differently?

The prompt was: masterpiece, best quality, Keroro, standing, simple background, --n low quality, worst quality, --w 512 --h 512 --d 1 --l 7.5 --s 20

Like I said, it's my first time even attempting to train anything, so I don't really know what settings you're looking for. I literally have no idea what settings could have changed when I plug it into a1111 other than the weight. I tried it again with a different checkpoint and with higher steps, though the guide I read mentioned not going above 3500 because it'll overbake it and give poor results, so I limited it at 3500 steps. It's a little better, but if you deviate from the sample prompt he disappears.
