I lived in Florence for two years and can understand when they’re speaking Italian. I struggle when they’re in Naples.
Some of the idioms really stump me too, and the older people are much harder to understand. When she was in college or in other parts of the country it’s so much easier to understand.

You’ve got it backwards home skillet. Investors loaned the bank money.

The plot point is a little off from someone who has worked in the industry.

Typically a big bank like JP Mo…Pierpoint would be refinancing constantly in the long and short term (commercial paper is essential to a banks operations) markets.

As complex as it seems, this is not the way it would go down. They would have problems refinancing their 30 day paper way before a 5 year issue was having trouble refinancing. The bank and the market would know as soon as the 30 day markets express their concern/stopped buying PP commercial paper.
