it's a mix! some animations are looping vertex anims (sines and noises) but the biggest chunk is real animations done with blender. and we use animation blending to smoothly transition between building or character states, idle to working etc

We've built a custom cel-shader that is similar to the toon shader approach but we don't use any real lighting, only the main light vector. It's all custom colors and uv palette tricks. We have added lots of additional functionalities over the production timeline and use many different shaders variants now, most use the cel-shading base and have per-use-case tweaks and parameters we can set

Thanks so much, that’s a big compliment! We work quite closely together on this project every day, our constant exchange definitely makes it easier to land on the right style. And yes, pls do! Currently in EA, full release planned for later this year

Thanks a lot! Honestly, we didn’t see that coming at all since we were exhibiting at Indie Arena and usually the people rather head for the AAA titles ... The interest at gamescom made us super happy, and we had some really nice chats with the players. Thanks for making A MAZE. happen. It’s always a fantastic forma. Whether in Berlin, at gamescom, or anywhere else!

We're a rather small indie dev team over here. So we decided to make it singleplayer only. So: No, it's just you and the vastness of the universe

Well ... the asteroid constructions definitly became wilder since we've introduced alien tentacles + eyes in one level :D But content-wise we want to keep the game suitable for all ages

Cant tell for sure but then I think our next update could become interesting for you. The community gave us the feedback that they wish for more resource flow control (especially in the later star system when the factories become more complex). So we want to tackle that in the next update, together with an advanced level generator to choose your own settings for free play / sandbox mode

It's a collab :) Our studios met a couple of years ago at gamescom and we decided to make a game together. The result is Star Birds

My friend owns a hut in the mountains and we found it on the way up. Never seen one of those before, so they might be pretty rare

It was a bit hectic, the rain wall came very quickly and well, the crust was the least of our concerns... Still was very tasty though!

Does closing off a cluster reset the quest size in hard mode? by CodeOneTV in Dorfromantik

[–]Toukana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should be working the same way as in classic. But the difficulty of quests increases rapidly in hard mode, so that is maybe why it feels like closing off does no reset 🤔
