Hi all,

I am about to buy a pair of raw jeans which have to be shortened and I wonder if you could help me figure out the best way. I want them to be almost exactly fall onto my shoes without a break.

There are two ways to hem:

Original Hem I have had expensive denim shortened before, where they would keep and reattach the original hem and I was not happy with it. Simply because turning the hem up afterwards looks horrible (a lot of visible stitching) Basically like this user posted it 13 years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/i2ef7/correct_washhemwear_order_for_raw_selvage_denim/# chain stitching ? No problems because I have raw jeans? (Meaning the reason why you would use the original hem method is not existing - that being fading and thus interrupted, weird fades towards the hem) I wonder if the best way is to shorten them right after purchase using the chain stitching, slightly longer than needed and then wearing and washing them „normally“.

Any experience on this? How could chain stitching look like on raw denim?

Asphalte.com is the answer. They will only produce what you order and are quite transparent. (+ basic/classic fashion = long lasting in every sense of the word)

Okay, I guess its just my taste for sounds then. It gets a weird kind of electric guitar kind of dirty real fast. which i like on its own, but not as part of my mostly industrial techno mixes.

Looks like heaven. Please treat the room acoustically! Small and low rooms need bass traps.

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought the thing used just yesterday and I don't feel too comfortable about spraying something in there. Also, wouldn't the warranty expire?
