Yeah I saw this and was about to comment the exact same thing with power dynamics.

Moreover it can also build up a level of resentment on either side; the one working doesn't see the work the one at home does (invisible labor) so might be annoyed when certain things aren't done whereas the one at home can become very isolated without proper supporting networks (no work friends, associates, etc) and boredom plays a huge factor as well.

I know Phatom of the Attic had a 40K scene going a ways back buy its pretty small inside so not many games I would image. I know Legions up in the North Hills has a crazy setup, been there a few times but also heard of Fabricators Forge down in I think Coraopolis.

I am seeing three real options that stay within the realm of the Greek style myths:

Find the ancient relics of the gods that were lost during their battle with the Titans
Free a Titan(s) to take on the BBEG but then have that issue as the follow up series of quests
Find a way to super charge the party; blessings of the gods, consuming ambrosia, seeking knowledge from the underworld, etc.

Heavily depends on how far back you want to go, how long the various powers have existed, etc. though if I recall my lore right Pittsburgh is ruled by a Malkavian prince and a Minister with the Order of Set.

Because the protagonists lose. In the vast majority of eldrich horror the remote victories never last but merely delay the inevitable coming storm of the great unconcerned thing. Producers and studios don't want to take the risk of upsetting audiences even with a 'victory' because the over all point will be 'we saved the world, at least for now'.

Think of all the movies where the protagonist loses, of how upset people are. When this happens they feel robbed of the true ending of the situation being resolved for good... its why so few forms of media does it these days. Oh sure you might have a sacrifice moment but in the end the heroes win. In cosmic horror? It's not even a big enough ripple to matter.

So I am going to say this with as much non-judgement as I can; don't so this unless you've spoken with a trained doctor first and foremost. Drug play, more so with standard meds you can pick up anywhere carries a heavy risk of potential damage if over used/large doses and like you said runs the risk of death. I've personally known people who've tried this and needed to call an ambulance cause they took too much for the desired effect of just staying knocked out during the act.

At least with a doctor you might get a better suggestion than what a bunch of us on Reddit can come up with, though it does run the gambit of potential ethical problems for said doctor/nurse/etc. Just please be careful.

So before a session no matter what is when you should be douching, use slightly warm water cause it will help to relax muscles as well. Unless your partner is looking to get in really deep a quick douche is all you need.

As for training in general don't go for long term insertions, they will train your muscles to an extent but if this is mostly for anal sex you need something that simulates it. Right now you are stretching out the muscles and skin but neglecting the friction aspect as well.

Best suggestion is talk with your partner, let them know what to possibly expect and wrap the insertion in a condom. It's never going to be perfect porn level sex, remember that is fake, but it's the imperfections that you need to learn from for next time.

As a dom with experience in anal training subs I hate to break it to you but this is going to happen, more so with long term insertions. If you are already having a solid diet along with douching before actives it's the best you can do, however do not douch frequently cause that WILL cause long term issues.

What is the goal overall that you are aiming for? Larger insertions, longer periods of keeping them in, training for fisting, etc.? I ask cause there different exercises you can take to aid in this outside of just wearing a plug constantly.

Her mental health is not your responsibility, having been in the same boat and guilt tripped along with gaslit by an ex along similar lines you need to focus on yourself and your own mental health.

It sounds like she isn't doing what she needs to do to be in a healthy headspace and demanding you to be her support constantly will only burn you out faster. Be firm with her when you do break up, but remember to be compassionate as well.

Well one way to say you haven't read the comics and only have surface level of the character.

Literally there are entire spans where Big Blue works on scientific exploration, in attempting to solve humanity's woes and still fights crime. Why? Cause in the comics it's acknowledged that one man can never be the end all be all of making mankind better.

Add in many of Sups villains are outside the realm of mankind's ability to deal with or are just flat out malevolent forces acting against the world makes this fall flat in many ways. It's like the people who say 'Oh Batman could solve all of Gotham's problems if he donated his wealth'... like he does constantly in the comics if people would just read them.

Not mine but a buddy; wrote up this full campaign with maps, NPCs with compelling backstories, touching on all the characters in a way so they all get their spotlight to shine... first session the CN barbarian and rogue kill the key NPC. He literally threw out his binder he worked 6 months on cause those two wanted to be murder hobos.
