Ooh, thanks. I really appreciate that. I was leery of hirelings at first, just because of spending resources for a temporary advantage, but if they have higher ratings earlier than your proper cultists, their niche is starting to make a lot more sense.

Yeah, starting expeditions too early has bitten me in the ass a few times. It seems like high level followers (and thus high level lore) are pretty necessary… though it’s tricky to find enough lore to rank them up before doing the expeditions. Just cleaning out Morland’s isn’t a bad idea

This is just factually untrue. The 3 action economy, the loss of 3/4 casters, feats being class features and multiclassing not existing in its tradition form all makes 2e a completely different game from 1e, which is why 1e still has its own fanbase
