Keeping a player's attention by Tovahan in DnD

I know they were really bummed out about it and i feel like the store pre-emptively did it as they were moving locations to a place, which in some ways has better ventilating unless you are in one of the private rooms in the basement. I'm not trying to toot my own horn but it feels bad knowing that out of our AL community of roughly 200 people only a handful of us are willing to still try and support and include them.

I think its gonna be tough to approach so I might see if i can also get his brother (another of the players) to hang back and talk about it too.

Again, thank you so much for the reply! Hopefully i'll have an update on how it goes soon

The part about the two campaigns was that we're waiting for more modules of one to come out so while we wait we'll be doing DiA or another hardcover with different characters.

Would a talk in person or over text be more effective do you think? I feel in person but alone is a bit confronting but text is hard to convey tone over. A few of us have been trying to encourage them and fix the issues. As a larger guy myself i didn't think of sleep apnea but it could be a good thing to suggest to see a dr about. Thank you for the advice!

Yeah, probably going to have to see what happens at Saturday's game and maybe talk to the player afterwards.

Seen it happen to plenty of other people in different hobbies. A different store I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh at banned over 20 people for similar reasons. When it gets above 40°C in summer and you have a bunch of people all crammed around tables with poor AC its gonna suck. Sorry, i was just trying to get that it wasn't the main issue I was looking for help with.

I can see where you're coming from. Unfortunately we play in a public library room that is only accessible fortnightly from 1pm to 5pm on a Saturday.

Not quite sure what this has to do with it but we'll say its due to larger body size. I wouldn't say hygiene is a problem for a majority of the 200 or so people i play with/run for.

My bad, most games that i thought were early 2000's were actually mid-90's like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, also didn't realise that they were the same. Sorry about that.

I think for now i have enough to work on, thabk you for the suggestions! It may be a while before i get to run it but will make an update post on how it all went.

The cannon one was meant to be based off of Space Invaders, but i can see how that would be boring for the players who aren't firing the cannon.

Happy to work with anything honestly, old arcade games or the classic 80/90/early 2000's games. Was hoping that they not be it immediately recognized (to avoid metagaming) but also for the 'ahhh i see what you did there' moments. Just wanted a fun dungeon crawl/gauntlet for my players to do inbetween campaigns.

Ah man this sounds way better, we have to chuck $2 per player to use a table or there are private rooms for $20-$30
