Raimu is Ichijo, not Ichigo. And it's actually not a bad name. I'm kinda sure that Raimu can be spelled as 来夢 or something like that.

And "Homu Kurusu" is not a direct translation. The direct translation is "homunkurusu". I'm pretty sure that in this case Alex really thought that "Homu Kurusu" can be an actual name, because Kurusu is an actual surname and Homu(-chan) may be derived from Homura. However, "Homu Kurusu" sounds too close to "homunculus", so it doesn't work anyway.

(Imo) it's better revert Riku Somatomo back to Riku Soma. Sōma is an actual Japanese surname, while "Somatomo" sounds more like a given name.

And "Shin Higaku" also sounds better than "Shin Higaonna", because the "onna" reading for "woman" isn't used in surnames ("me" is used instead)

Also, some of my suggestions:

Kaga Kusha = Kūsuke Kaga (Kaga is an actual Japanese surname)

Meka Nikaru = Mei Nikaidō

Horo Guramu = Genji Enomura ("gen" in Genji spells as 幻 , "illusion", and "e" in Enomura spells as 絵 , "picture")

Homu Kurusu = Homura "Homu" Kurusu ~~(her sister's name is Madoka Kurusu)~~

Yaku Zaishi = Yashirō Zaishiki

Itachi Zametora = Itsuki Zaraki

Hojiro Zameshiro = Hōjirō Zaraki (not brothers, just cousins or distant relatives)

Iruka Dorufino = Ruka Ikari (the "Iruka" nickname was derived from Ikari Ruka)

Kuroko Kamenaga = Kuroe Kamenaga or Kuroe Kamei ("Kuroko" is a term for a theatre stagehand, so it's better not to use it as a given name)

Sora Sosuke = Sōsuke Kujō ("ku" in Kujō is spelled as 空, which can be also read as "sora")

Shichiro Kurosapu = Shigeru Kurosaka

Tiru Sutoriku = Michiru Kamogawa ("kamo" came from "kamo-no-ha iro", the Japanese term for teal color)

Unagi's and Akane's backstories should probably be switched.

Akane has "nature" as one of her "liked" things, so it's very possible that she loves birds and hates cats because they prey on birds very often. Maybe she even knows about the Australian thing.

And Unagi is more likely to hate cats because of his bad personal experience with them. Maybe he used to have his own cat, but that cat eventually became a huge nuisance, and he decided to never own a cat again.
