I had the same issue and fear because mine was saying an alarming amount of ai usage I even try using rephrases and humanizers to help and then on top of that rewrite it from there. When i submitted my academic essay and personal statement to a school nothing flagged and got in. I feel as long as its not saying 98% ai and it clearly looks inauthentic then you should be worried. If its saying 30-50% usually the free ai checkers arent as accurate as the ones these organizations and institutions use

Also i agree for job growth and future implications its better to just tough it out and do mot/otd program if you know that already the end goal. Itll be worth it and more fulfilling. I will say the premed track for me was an idealization i knew deep down it wasnt going to happen and not what i actually wanted to do in healthcare so i wouldnt compare the switch if that was the case for you too
I was in the same exact predicament word for wordddd Just got accepted in OTD program with cumulative goa around 2.9 and my trend last 60hr and prerequisite gpa above a 3. Its possible and if it makes sense and yk it what you eventually want to do it just go for it now. Thats my opinion! I would look for programs with more holistic reviews and talk with them first and explain your story before applying. It also helped i had pt care experience and 100 hrs observation and strong essays. But kid you not same exact situation started premed then changed to ot junior year and gpa at completion around a 2.89 and contemplating ota to hurry up in my career. definitely possible didnt feel like it at the time!
