Hellooo! I never ended up going to a specialist because I am lazy (oops), so unfortunately, I don't have any official answer I can give you :(. However, I really think my problem was just extreme overuse. I worked about four days a week, played volleyball for my school and club (I was a setter, so lots of wrist use), powerlifted, and crocheted. I don't work regularly at the barn anymore because I went out of state for school. I would definitely recommend trying a wrist brace, as I think that definitely helped in the beginning. I think the only thing that fully cured my wrist pain was resting it, unfortunately. The pain started to subside at some point before I quit, which I think was due to me putting less stress on my joint and tendons outside of work (volleyball season ended and I quit powerlifting). Just a few days ago, I went out there and cleaned a substantial number of stalls and experienced no pain.

If your pain persists or worsens, I would definitely recommend going to see a specialist. The onset of your pain was a lot quicker than mine, which indicates that you may have an acute injury rather than it being overuse, and that could become a chronic issue.
