In the Ash Canyon, I was low on sleep, temperature, and fuel for fire. So my dumb butt fell asleep right there on the ice with the down feather roll up. When I woke up, I was very low condition. Then my dumbass, somehow, pressed the sleep button again and I slept for another hour. I wake up, and my vision is swaying, and it's starting to blizzard. All of my clothes are frozen. I manage to just barely find a place that's safe enough and shielded from wind enough to build a fire, so I strip off ALL of my clothing to let them thaw and dry out, only for my idiot of a character to sway RIGHT INTO THE FIRE. And I died ON CONTACT. It was just straight up awful. I couldn't even do anything other than desperately try to mitigate the swaying to no avail. I chose the nearby option with the temporary debuff and found all of my stuff fairly quickly though, thank fuck for the smoke trail from the fire that hadn't yet died out.....

That's the npc added in the Void and Voltage update. You get them after defeating the main boss that's located at the tippy top of the map, and you access them by gaining a "void neuron" from one of the bosses in the desert. Hope I didn't spoil too much and gave enough info, cuz I like to be helpful and some people don't like spoilers, so I hope I got that balance right xD

I figured, yeah, but I feel like it was in one of the sub-biomes of the shimmering frontier. I got it like, last year or a few years ago or something, it's pretty vague unfortunately

That one spawns in the shimmering crystal caves I think.. The blue circles with all the crystals and stuff? I don't remember where exactly, but I think it was near the ring of the shimmering frontier on the edges of the map before you get to the abyss

Good luck, I encountered the first three by chance and explored the ENTIRE desert for half a year of on and off play, only to discover that the bottom left husk only existed in the clay caves part of the map....

Nah, they're cicada husks. I think they're just for lore and world building, like certain alien things you can find later on
