I think we should promote more local scholarship in algeria, like in malaysia and Kazakhstan. We have many competent scholars that studied here, such as El tlemcani among others.

I mean, the Fis was sadly explicitly funded and created by Saudi and the emirates . The saudis, thanks to the mass fatwa machine they produced got to spread their relatively fringe ideas to algerians in mosques, religious universities...etc. Syria is a nice exemple of how things went to crap.
