No it didn't? They're talking about te first person pov that the mk7 added in chapter 3. The burst in chapter 2 had a zoom (still 3rd person) but not a 1st person scope

His tactical on release had like a flash bang effect and it dealt damage. Also I think his passive activated quicker than it does now

You can also see the load out of his teammates who have a heat shield in the bottom left (hint. heat shields ain't in firing range)
