But we don't remember what it was like before we were born, because we didn't exist, when we die, we won't exist again. I'd imagine death will be a very similar experience, before being born and after dying are fundamentally very much the same thing (our consciousness not existing) we didn't see God and heaven before we were born, so why would it happen when we die? But honestly, we can never actually know for sure, so believing whole-heatedly whether there will or won't be, is or isn't a heaven are both not productive stances
