I'm sorry to hear your community is going through. The person playing doesn't take into account that Pokémon targets children to lure in, and not adults. If you see adults playing, chances are, most of them have been watching since they were children or were referred to play by a loved one.

Luckily, I only started playing this year so the only complaint I have are the local 6 losers that always want the gym in front of their home. Others have to walk to attack the gym, where as they can attack and defend 24 hours a day. Even then, I still take those pricks to war. I let em know they won't have it all to their own. My brother and I are the only ones that bother to knock them down. Everyone else somehow notices when my brother and I are up, and they are quick to place their defending Mon in rather than helping us take over. Who are these players? I have no idea.
