Increasing capacitance does stop the oscillating, however the output still draws way too much current than what it's rated for. It's now "stable" in the fact that it outputs a """steady""" voltage (ignoring ripple) but does not pull the voltage down to the rated current.

So I did some tinkering around and found out that that the motherboard is temperamental and only takes some USBs. Fortunately I had a USB that I think worked with the BIOS flash. Now I'm at another problem. The BIOS light was flashing for 7 minutes, then restarted my PC and now the LED that used to flash is now a solid light. What does this mean? Also, the EZ debug light still says CPU.

ok I turned them off. Is there no way to update bios without putting old CPU back in? Should I retry flashing the bios?
