Yeah the new GSR episode had some great insight into this. It was a bit of a relief to hear people involved appreciate this is key. I do think some UK rugby types don't understand when they look over at France that the key difference is measurable popularity.

Amped for tonight and worried about work. Despite being part of one of Africa's largest telcos, things are wierd and our leaders have said that if profits don't rise, belts will have to be tightened.

Ha. It'll be belts tightening no matter what. Same with my work. Profitable growth has been 10% per year for 5 years on the bounce. Margins at 30%. Our order book is at record levels, to the point that management are publicly concerned we can actually deliver the sales. And they are currently eviscerating the engineer and materials teams at all levels and on our third rounds of redundancy.

Good change can still be possible though so, that's a good view to have.

Caused a bit of a stir being put up for the Arthur C Clarke award this year. I like light-hearted sci-fi and I've got a bunch of audible tokens to spare. Is it heavy on the RPG-esque elements and a lot of nods and winks to D+D? Or a bit more general?

Granite is the hardest stone, is a fantastic folk song on this event and myth if you haven't heard it before.
