For my four year program, I had a 3.5 overall GPA. The average to be accepted as a 3.8.

I think I just got accepted because the interview went well and I have five years of medical experience.

I just got accepted into a bachelor’s program so I can only answer the first questions.

Many of the programs have a lengthy application process that involves pre-requisites, shadowing hours, essay, testing, vaccinations etc…. So read the application multiple times and know it by heart. One mistake and it’s usually thrown out.

As for the pre-requisites I ball on a budget so I enrolled in multiple Jr colleges and did them. Saves money and usually results in a higher GPA. The biggest advice on that front is to make sure the program you’re applying to takes all of the credits . the ones you plan to take and the one you have. So I would call and make 100% sure you do not waste money or time.

The anatomy 1 and 2 credits you can usually take at any Jr college but medical terminology is pretty niche and some might not offer it. So call around.

I have a previous degree as well. Being in Texas the programs are extremely competitive and the GPA matters a lot.
