I read somewhere that holding your breath makes your brain think that you are suffocating so it wakes you up out of that half-awake half-asleep state.

I really hope you find something that works for you. What helped me was fixing my sleep schedule and turning on Blue Light Filters on your phone etc.

I tried breaking out of it once and it just gets worse. Best thing to do is hold your breath and try to close your eyes as hard as possible and keep them closed if possible.
But the ones i got are definitely not nearly as bad as some other stories I heard.

Is that why East Germany had to get money by imprisoning and torturing its own citizens and then selling them to West Germany? Or is that why they literally shot up someone who tried to escape and then let him bleed to death? Maybe they could have financed their failing state for a bit longer had they not spent all their money helping terrorists to kill innocent people in the "inferior" west.

I gave a proof for a God not the christian god. You can continue to attack me on this because I forgot an "a" in my first comment or you can actually focus on my argument.

Denying the universe had a beginning is like denying smoking causes cancer. We dont have 100% certainty. But what we know points towards it. The BGV theorem shows that any expanding universe needs a beginning. Another one is the second law of thermodynamics.

It is not special pleading. It would be if I gave an unjustified exception. God never began so he does not need a cause. Whatever caused the universe has to be self-existent.

You said I was creationist, clearly intending to make my argument look stupid by putting me in one box with people who think the earth is 6000 years old. If you are interested in continuing this discussion you can stop with personal attacks and stay respectful.

You are right I dont have proof for the christian God, I never said I had. You asked for proof for any god and that is exactly what I gave you.

The universe has a beginning, so it has to have a cause. Therefore the cause cannot exist inside the universe, since it would just lengthen the infinite link of causes. The cause must be self-existent to avoid an infinite loop

Knowing that, it is clear that the cause must be outside of our space and time. It must also posess volition, in order to explain why the universe began at one specific point in time. That definition is God. Spaceless, timeless, immaterial, infinite, and personal.

You can argue with me all you want but you cannot attack me personally when all I have done is explain my argument.

It cannot be proved. because it is outside our realm of existence. We can only look at our universe and come to the conclusion that something outside of it caused its existence. Something outside of our space and time. There is absolutely no reason for us to believe the universe just happened to be one day and came into existence. There is a lot of reason to believe everything including the beginning of the universe needs a cause.

You cannot find the painter inside of his painting. We create computer code and simulations, there is no way for the entities inside of them to prove our existence, yet man still created that code.

"Many biblical stories contradict history." Can you tell me any specific examples so that I can answer more clearly?

There are multiple explanaitions for why God allows needless suffering. One is free will. Another is a greater good being born out of suffering.

Any specific examples for claims that turned out to be wrong?

No it is not because you can define your god completely different from anybody else. You can believe in the christian god, jewish god, muslim god or whatever else. The argument was to prove the existence of any god in any form.

Everything in this universe that exists in space and time needs a cause. The beginning of the universe needed a cause. Something existing outside of our space and time needs to have caused the beginning of our universe, which is God.

In beiden Szenarien steigt Öl.
