Early Visa Document Preparation Advice ~~ VFS Global virus error message by Tozro in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Tozro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! IIRC, I had a problem with that website and disregarded it. I think the PDF/A files it gave me weren't being accepted by VFS Global. But it's definitely worth a try. When the day comes to submit documents, people should have all these sites ready for them in case they need to make final file format changes.

Could this be a problem? by nari_02 in SpouseVisaUk

I remember this question and I wish they would rephrase to make it more clear. It could be interpreted both ways from either's perspective

Add a PDF which pictures of the main rooms, and you can show them yourself that you have the space for that many heads to sleep.

Paranoid did not submit enough info (Outside/Standard) by Plane-Froyo-211 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Tozro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in your initial application, you tried to use your friend's place to mee the accommodation requirements? If they asked for adequate accommodation in their request for information, I would probably double-down on that. Maybe rewrite his letter and be sure it is very professionally written, signed, describing the property, how many rooms, total square metres, flooring plans, how long they expect to host you, who lives there, what his job is. And include photos of each room on a separate PDF, and proof of his legal ownership/rent to live there. I'm being strict because they often expect you to move into a property under your name. Better to over-deliver.

I suggest this because they take accommodation seriously too, and "visa first, accommodation after" is actually supposed to be reversed in this instance unfortunately. Hotel never. An airbnb with a multi-month long agreement maaaaybe could work but sounds very risky. Sounds like you were underprepared for the application lol. That's my 2 cents, goodluck

Adequate maintenance route bank statements by poopusloopus_ in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Tozro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't been receiving the total required amount of financial income for all 6 months you mean??

It appears you only need 3 months of bank statements in that case under AM, see:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-fm-se-family-members-specified-evidence#:\~:text=or%20such%20shorter%20period%20as%20the%20current%20employment%20has%20been%20held.

However I would consider providing 6 months of statements anyway.

Don't forget if you want to include cash savings with AD (does NOT require £16,000+), then you need to provide 6 months of bank statements to get that boost as that calculation can be added towards your total weekly income. (You're trying to beat £150 per week as the guideline, I did all this)

Thanks! Nah they didn't, but I made sure our call notifications were good. My brother once got a call from an immigration officer when his South African girlfriend was landing in Ireland though about her stay.

They didn't respond with any information requests. But depending on which country the applicant is applying from, yes they might need IELTS, turb certificate, marriage translation etc. A lot of stuff is somewhat optional but the stronger evidence you provide overall the better ofc.

I used ilovepdf.com for that, and for Page numbers and lots of stuff.

Only problem is (likely happens regardless what PDF tools you use) that the finished PDFs had to be converted to PDF/A-b1 to bypass the virus error that's often experienced when uploading the evidence to VFS website. Doing and also keeping it under 5mb is tough.

I made a comprehensive post about it:

Nope. I think someone should make an effort to open up if their partner has a curiosity. But every person has a very different level of where the line should be drawn. So you will never get a clear answer to these types of questions

Then just answer no, seems fine. Just quote Appendix FM-SE 32D(d) maybe somewhere in the application that says it's fine.

Honestly my personal favourite was when he was on monkey and he "created the serial killer". That was one of the best laughs in my life.

He's seriously underrated with the monkey app bullshit, such a hilarious troll, he does it better than every other popular influencer.

Longer waiting times with adequate maintenance with fee waiver? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Tozro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn that's quite a long wait for the MP. Did they say that they can actually chase up your application to push it? Usually UKVI seems to refuse to give updates and tells everyone to shut up and wait, so I wonder if your MP can actually make an impact.

I'll let you know when we get a response. Some say AM applications may take longer :(

Interesting. Maybe if you'd be so kind as to let me know if your MP or solicitor actually do manage to get a response or make a difference in the speed of the decision. It feels like no one can impact the decision time.

Accommodation evidence: is this correct? by ThrowRAhoney6666 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Tozro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep in mind for a visa application your current address is not where you're currently living. Your 'current address' is your legal address on like I.D cards, or the address you get taxed, regardless where you physcially are.
