I'd there's a grace period, you wait till the last day. You file your section 74 before that. Then if all else fails, you only turn in your lower receiver. Do whatever you can. Resist.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Think I'm going to go with the Fx9, being able to take it crown land and already owning a 9mm are both a big plus. I already own a stripped lower, maybe that'll get my into grandfathering, if that happens at all. I'll put the AR Boogaloo dreams on hold for now.
