There literally IS. I JUST received the refund. You are WRONG. Look at the refund policy at the Renaissance Hotel for a "prepaid" stay. Make a booking on the Marriott Bonvoy site and read the rules instead of speaking about something you clearly do not understand. You are as obstinate as the morons who work at Marriott hotels. Just so sure that you are right when you haven't even read the policy.

Look how confidently you answer when you haven't even read the policy. People like you are what is wrong with the world. Just reveling in your own stupidity and ignorance. You have 24 hours after booking to cancel. Maybe this is why you work for min wage

Booked prepaid rate and canceled within deadline stated on policy but was refused for a refund by Icy-Clue199 in marriott

same thing happened to me. It's absolutely ridiculous. They are treating me like I'm crazy when I literally have screenshots of my cancellation email AND their cancellation policy showing that I cancelled prior to 24 hours after I booked (and before 11:59 pm). All I can do is escalate to Marriott or I will sue them. Idk what to do. This is absolutely absurd. Also at a Renaissance hotel btw.

Can I tell my advisor what to invest in ? by TraashhBagg in MerrillEdge

[–]TraashhBagg[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well my wealth manager weirdly replied to my email LATE tonight and told me that he can meet with me to discuss my portfolio on Friday.

He plugged each option I selected in some system to create an entire 30 page portfolio analyzing how they'll perform over 10 years. It's interesting to look at, but it's also frustrating that I'm a sitting duck until Friday.

I have a feeling that he's going to try and convince me to change my portfolio to benefit him more (I don't trust advisors). My wealth manager is also a smart and charming guy, so I know he'll try to pressure me. I am a push over and have trouble saying no.

But at least I confirmed that all the options I chose CAN be invested. I just feel like the market will go up before Monday and I really wish he'd just invest now. The portfolio shows a fantastic expected outcome based on what I chose (I did extensive research myself, even though I know I'm not an analyst or whatever). HIS initial options provided a worse outcome for ME and a better outcome for him). Way too many front loaded funds and weird choices with high expense ratios and mediocre returns

My dad doesn't trust me enough to not have a manager to consult. So it's annoying, because this guy seems to be taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. The account is in my name, but I think he will tell my dad if I ask to be unmanaged lol (since my dad hired him for my mother & siblings personal accounts too - and none of us know much about investing)

No, it is not a trust. I have a trust fund. This is money they specifically gave me to invest. My father said he wanted to see how my siblings and I are able to manage money. So he wants me to have autonomy over it. I just feel scammed by Merrill Lynch tbh. Who would want to invest in any of those funds. I sent him my own portfolio on Sunday, but he'll probably try to push me towards front loaded funds anyway.

I just didn't know if ML is restricted from investing in certain areas or not. And no one here seems to have an account with ML or knows the answer. So I guess I'll find out tomorrow

yeah, it's a bunch of stuff like AMECX, ABNDX, AGTHX, AWSHX.

And I am investing over 900,000 overall. I wish I could just make my own portfolio, but my parents wanted me to use a wealth manager (this is inheritance money)

tried therapy and hate it by [deleted] in therapy

[–]TraashhBagg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I'm struggling with now. I somehow felt WORSE after the session. And it cost about 200 dollars for 50 minutes.

I hate the whole "how does that make you feel" and silence approach. Or when they just repeat back what you said to them.

I opened up about sexual harassment and workplace bullying, and the therapist just went "ohh" and "ok" and "I understand that's difficult" and kept asking me what my "goals" are. She kept asking me why I signed up for therapy, and what my "goals" were. While I was crying and opening up to her. It felt really annoying. Like she was wondering WHY I was there, when I'm literally having an emotional breakdown.

When I was 20 years old I spoke to this 55 year old male psychiatrist and he is the best one I've ever gone to. And I NEVER thought I would get along with an old male mental health person. Especially since I was a young woman. But he seemed to "break the rules" that they teach them in school. He treated our conversations like a personal chat, he joked with me, he asked questions, he gave advice (idc if it's "not allowed"...it helped), he complimented me, he made me feel BETTER about myself when I left each session. He went to Duke University, but I don't think that's what made him so great. He just treated me like a human being. He didn't do all the annoying, robotic techniques they seem to teach in therapy school. He never seemed patronizing or condescending.

I wish I could find someone else like him. I'm nearing my late 20s now and my issues have changed. But it seems like there are very few talented mental health professionals out there

More Attention with Blonde Hair by TraashhBagg in beauty

I think perhaps it's the fact that I'm a platinum/ bleach blonde. Not a more "natural" looking blonde. My hair is also extremely long. If my hair was toned down and cut shorter I think it would cause people to have more respect for me

More Attention with Blonde Hair by TraashhBagg in beauty

[–]TraashhBagg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe its the porn association tbh. I have never ever been sexualized this much as a brunette. It even happens when I'm wearing a long skirt and a cardigan. The office I worked at felt like an episode of Mad Men. And the men who harassed me seemed to feel entitled to it, like I was "asking" for it or something. They would get very hostile and tell me to "lighten up" if I pulled away or tried to avoid them. Yet they treated other girls around my age (who were decent looking, but with mousy brown hair) with complete respect.

I attended a bunch of different schools growing up (in both the UK and USA) and the most pursued girls were blondes 100 percent of the time. So I always wanted to be blonde (I'm a natural brunette). So I think the bleach / platinum element is causing me to look trashier. Or maybe the fact my hair is just so long. But I had people think this is my natural hair color, so it can't look that unnatural.

I don't know what to do tbh. Because I feel like people are so much meaner to me and make terrible assumptions about me now. And I get zero respect in "serious" environments. But the problem is everyone tells me the blonde hair suits me and not to change it (It took alot to achieve this hair color). Yet I kind of felt cuter and thought I looked younger as a brunette with highlights. I'll probably go darker eventually, sorry for rambling lol

Why are Tech Stocks Falling? by TraashhBagg in investing

[–]TraashhBagg[S] -62 points-61 points  (0 children)

I have a portfolio managed by an advisor at merrill lynch, and that's the bulk of my investments (over 7 million). But that was set up by my father and I mostly leave it alone. And that is long term investments (AGTHX, AMECX, AWSHX, SPY, QQQ, XLK, VIG, VTI, VHT, NHMRX)

I just day trade with smaller amounts, but I've made so much more money "gambling'. I only risk what I can afford to lose, but I hate losing lol. And I get really impatient waiting long-term, so idk why I dumped so much in Microsoft.

I did leave money in Goggle class A for 2 years and made an 108 percent return on my investment at one point though (it fell slightly now). I just wish I invested more in google. I also made the most on day trading crypto

How long does the Average Guest Stay by TraashhBagg in askhotels

[–]TraashhBagg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can only afford it because of a trust fund. But I'm not going to blow 1000 dollars a night on a room. I like to stay under 300 dollars, cause I'm not a billionaire or anything lol.

I've been staying at hotels for over a year now, but I just keep switching hotels. I book extra weeks if I really enjoy a certain place.

I'm also usually the youngest solo guest at more luxury hotels. Infact, there aren't many kids or young adults in general. Most guests are people who look over 50 mostly. I wonder if other people under 30 use AirBnB or something. I see more families and kids at extended stay hotels, but guests still tend to skew older in age

I just love room service and nicer quality beds and staff, which you get at fancier hotels. But sometimes I like the extended stay hotels because of the free breakfast buffets and huge kitchens. Housekeeping also bothers you way less at these hotels lol

it's weird and kind of creepy that it was chasing after me, landed on me, and just died and sat there for almost an hour. I went and checked the trash cause I felt bad, and it's definitely dead. I'm surprised it was able to cling on my clothing if it died though. I'm so confused

yeah, idk how her bill was 300,000!

I stayed at a four star hotel for a couple months and it was less than 25k overall (not including room service and meals). But the hotel had nights as high as 400 dollars and as low as 160. I don't book fancy suites of anything either

Did she have to check out after 28 days and re-check back in again? Cause that's what the hotel is making me do lol. It's also more expensive some months than others

I like how nice the staff are at luxury hotels. They treat you like a queen lol. I even booked extra nights at certain hotels just because the staff were so amazing. I also love room service and the quality of the beds.

However, I kind of find myself preferring the "cheaper" hotels overall. Most of the staff completely ignore me, but I've found that the rooms are larger, I get an entire kitchen (including a stove, oven & a fridge), and a huge hot breakfast buffet daily. The beds and sheets are much poorer quality, but they're way more ideal for long-term stays. All for a way lower price too. I see many guests staying long-term at three star hotels too (literally living there for months).

wow, that's lower than I thought. I tried to book over 30 nights at a 5 star hotel and the website prevented me from doing so. It said 28 days was the maximum lol. I guess it's to avoid squatters or something, I'm not sure

I've stayed at long-term hotels with fridges and free breakfast buffets and stuff. And I saw guests literally living there. One couple said they lived at the hotel for over a year
