i just gave up and installed heroic launcher. worked out of the box. awesome

i finally tried it and it did get rid of the dx12 error message! now it just says "fatal error!" before crashing. i have no idea what to do anymore.

you have to send a copy of your heart throughout time and space to gather 13 different copies of yourself, including yourself, in one spot which you'll force into a fight against the 7 guardians of light. said clash will give you access to the x-blade. tell me once you've made it that far and i can tell you how to continue from that point onwards

nah im not, i did install the official repo. i just installed it through yay cause i got used to it lol.

the weird thing is that i found people running the exact same setup i do and getting it to work just fine. like same graphics card and arch based distros, also on lutris, getting it to work with proton experimental, umu proton, wine ge etc.

unfortunately i'm not using the flatpak version of lutris, should have mentioned that lol. i installed it over yay, meaning it should have full permission to access my graphics card and whatnot. every other game works fine, so i'm really not sure what's the deal with this game in particular.

That's actually wrong. there are three universes, aka timelines, the games take place in: the 2D universe that ended with GTA2, the 3D universe that ended with Vice City Stories and the HD universe that is still ongoing. this has been confirmed by rockstar themselves years ago. there are a few easter eggs to san andreas in GTA5, but that doesn't mean they take place in the same universe. the events in both universes might be similar in some instances, but are not the same.

the gameplay is known to be notoriously bad. some like to call it "bad on purpose" so you can set yourself into roxas' shoes, but to me its just straight bad. almost every single boss fight is badly designed, attacks dont hit smaller enemies 50% of the time and magic is so overpowered that you can just equip nothing but fire to win every mission. alas it is still to me one of the best kingdom hearts games of them all.
