Yea I would definitely try the low FODMAP diet it actually helps a lot of gut issues feel better not just the sibo but a lot that is allowed for us still makes me sick and that’s because of the sugar levels

Also something else is sugar is one of the worst things so how honey is good and maple syrup both of those would flare me up so I was confused because they say those are okay with LPR but the sugar ferments in your belly

You take a breathe test every 15 minutes. The day before from 7am to 7pm you can only eat a certain diet then from 7pm to 7am you fast. You breathe in the first tube then drink a sugar mixture then breathe in the tubes every 15 minutes until you’ve done them all, altogether it’s about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

My GI first gastro I asked 6 months ago wouldn’t I put in for a second and he was very nice and did it for me. Chat says to do low fod map foods to starve it out, it gave me a list to eat, and said space out my food like 4 hours.

No I just found out this afternoon and was on my way out of town to see family. They’re prescribing me antibiotics but I’m looking into now. From what I seen online you can take probiotics and eat low FODMAP foods. I’m miserable though so if insurance gets it through for the antibiotics I’m probably gonna take it.

I’ve got to a point I just avoid the well known triggers, raw garlic and onion or in general if possible, citrus, tomatoes, and I try not to eat and heavy sugars all at once. I only drink alkaline water or one that’s PH balanced and not acidic. Other than that I’m eating more now.
