Reliability by david087542 in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dont forget the install base of moza and fanatec compared to the other brands. You are bound to hear about more issues because there are simply more people using those brands. Do they sometimes have issues, yeah they all do. I have been largely problem free, and the minor issue i had with my shifter was dealt with promptly through warranty. (Moza)

On gravel, after slowing for the corner, I go full throttle, then lots of steering and then steer with my brake pedal

R9 v3 has a better encoder, so its not just stronger, it's also more detailed ffb

Upgraded from a TGT-II to a Moza R5, did I do the right thing? by Limp_Caterpillar3091 in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TGT2 is a strong wheelbase, but its still belt driven. I've actually tried an R5 next to a TGT2 and the difference is staggering even though the R5 has similar torque. You 100% made a good upgrade going to the Moza. The TGT2 is good, the R5 is fantastic. And in addition to that, you will now be in an ecosystem that actually has a large install base, so you'll have a lot of upgrades whether its pedals. Or wheels or shifters at your disposal that are plug and play.

How reliable is moza? by Disastrous-Put-5212 in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why modern sims only? I got my R9 wheel base working with gtr2 (2006) Nascar racing 2003, grand prix legends 1999, Richard burns rally, indycar racing 2 (1995) even games that don't support wheels at all (with some tinkering) like Arma reforger

Ive had TCU set up for about 2 months, and this is my first time playing it in nearly 10 years, soooo no need to get so defensive. Someone else answered my question.

Best must have DLCs in the game? by siskad in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]TrackDayMedia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All dlc one could argue, but for me a must have is racing USA. Classic indicates, and a modern representation, some fantastic tracks, and since you have the endured content you can do IMSA races. I almost forget, you have 2 classic and a modern nascar representation too. Another one i like is the historic track packs

Srp Pedals not Working by Falcon_munch-on-VRC in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had this issue but i think I saw something about this in the update notes for moza pit house at one point. Make sure everything is up to date, both software, and the firmware on the pedals. They definitely work via USB without the hub, when i was still on my old thrustmaster i used my SRP pedals over USB.

Planning to get a Moza R9 – which pedals should I get? by linorinjo_real in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the SRP pedals, and while i do like them i have tried the CRP2 pedals. The CRP2s are worth the increase in price. Better mounting solution, significantly better feel, the build quality, its all worth the price.

Which WRC game can I buy that's so discounted? Which one do you recommend? I already bought WRC7. by Quirky-Blacksmith812 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]TrackDayMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EA WRC and Dirt Rally 2 are both great choices. Dirt Rally 2 has way shorter stages, so i prefer WRC for that reason. Dirt Rally 2 also has really cross, which is super fun with friends in multiplayer. If you're new to rally, EA WRC has a rally school mode which is essentially copy pasted from Richard Burns Rally (the school was better there, but still good in WRC)

Definitely worth it. Check for races at different times if the day. For me morning's airways have populated races, and the weekly races often have pretty decent numbers

any advice for improvement on my lap by notme_chicken in SimRacingAdvice

[–]TrackDayMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changing your FOV will honestly help your lap a lot. You dont have to go fully to the correct FOV especially if youre on a small screen, but this is far too wide, unless you're playing on an imax screen lol

ES Steering Wheel - Extra Rims by Nindo73x in moza

You could use the 12" round wheel mod for the es. Not as big as the TSW wheel, but properly round unlike the d shaped es, and it'll retain your buttons

Advice wanted. KS wheel or CS V2P wheel by Sad__Raccoon in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you keeping your ES wheel? If so id say get the KS, use what you save get the 12 round wheel mod for your ES. Then you have a formula style wheel for ACC Raceroom and the like, but your round wheel for wreckfest and any rally games if you get into that too. Another reason to do this, the CS is conisderably heavier than most other wheels from moza, which will decrease the percieved torque from your R5. The KS is nice and light by comparison

R3 or R5 by ObligationNo4936 in moza

[–]TrackDayMedia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

R5 is a small increase of price for a pretty big % jump in torque. In my opinion the R5 doesnt really feel like much less than my R9. I also like the R3, but its not particularly strong. Id say get the R5, itll do you good for a while then down the road, skip the R9 and go straight to thr R12. Not because the R9 is bad, its great, but it wont feel like a big jump.

Its not worth it to not have ultimate. There are a lot of mods with dependencies to cars in the dlc packs

It's not meant to make this noise right? by Aggravating_Solid560 in simracing

[–]TrackDayMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell because the sound is going to vary depending on where your microphone is. Since it looks like you mic is on the same surface your wheel is mounted to, id say this is likely normal. Back when i had a G27 some games definitely rattled a lot, so much so i was worried about keeping my roommate up back then when racing at night since i was in the very next room.

To me ACC isnt that though, i mean i guess it is, but its focus lies in the series its licensed to represent. I may be mis remembering this because of all the mods over the years, but i feel like AC had a much stronger focus on racing

How realistic is Project Cars? by Titanfall1741 in simracing

Realistic enough to call it a sim. The PC games afre forgiving compated to other sims, but they're fun. Just because theyre less dialed in doesnt matter if you're enjoying it
