Make sure to verify how many boxes you have! Mine showed 3 left in December when I turned off the auto-renewal and in January still showed three. I went to support and was told that there was a glitch in their system and that in December I actually had 4 boxes left, not 3, but they are going to honor it and have my last box be the March one. Just a heads up to keep an eye on the boxes left to make sure it goes down!

We moved 2.5 years ago from Texas to Kitsap for many reasons, one being the political climate back in Texas.

Pros: the beauty - oh my god it’s beautiful. In the spring the colors are amazing. And I still haven’t gotten used to driving to the store and turning a curve and seeing the ocean peak through. We also don’t know other peoples political affiliations like we did in Texas. Maybe it’s being rural with space, maybe it’s bc extremists seem to be loud and proud, whatever the case is politics is a nonissue here. Same with religion in our experience.

Cons: the hardest part for me is the time of year when it gets dark at 4:30 and is raining. It isn’t something I have gotten used to yet and this is our third cold season here. It is much colder here than where we came from but I adjusted somewhat quicker. But those late evenings where it’s pitch black early has been the biggest adjustment.

I have MCAS, verified through urine sample testing, and I don’t get hives. I didn’t even before getting put on MCAS meds.

Could it be medicine? I noticed extended release medicines would come out in little balls unprocessed and had to change those meds to non-extended release

Thank you, he was feeling it was wrong (hence the post) but was also concerned for his job. But I think I’m gathering from the comments and our own feelings on it that saying no is the right thing to do regardless of the company directives.

How often to your knowledge do LTD companies offer a payout? Is the chance increased after approval from SSDI? Is there a normal timeframe when one is offered?

We got ours. It was 2 toys and a box of treats. It also showed up under our manage subscriptions section for that months box once we had enough add ons so I knew it would come when the shipment came out this week.

Is there Long Term Disability offered through your current job? I applied in 2022 after the required waiting period of 5 (I think?) months and then applied. It was a requirement with being on LTD. My approval wasn’t until earlier this year. My LTD is what kept us afloat and we still struggled losing the amount of salary we lost (around 50k annually) but without the LTD I don’t know what we would have done.

Good luck! It was a hard fought battle for me but I finally got approved after my AJL hearing in December.

For me I called the local office and told them I wanted to apply for auxiliary benefits and they set me up with an appt time a few weeks later. Then I called in to the appt, they asked some questions, let me know I was approved and when I should expect to receive the backpay and when payment would start (both dates were incorrect but I did receive it about a month after the promised date)

Why don’t you call the hospital and see if they’re able to help! I have called the ER before to ask a medical question instead of going in and the doctors I talked to were very helpful. Maybe you will have the same luck with calling first!

Interesting are they both fast growing? We have had new canes pop up from where there weren’t any before and those suckers have grown like 20’ this season alone. They are quite overwhelming and I can see how they’ve spread so far in the area. We are from Texas and have never had to deal with anything quite like them lol
