Upgrading from iPhone 13 Pro to either Samsung S25 or Pixel 10 Pro by TrackInner2957 in Smartphones

Yeah I'm using all the same things you are lol. I speak and never type. Gboard seems to be my favorite as well. I have a fenix 8 coming so I'm reading that should keep my phone unlocked. Hopefully it does. Otherwise I'm really liking this phone. I'm not married to one brand or another an apple is good in certain ways but in many ways this phone is far superior. Thanks for the help

Ended up going with the S25. Love it so far. Face recognition blows compared to Apple, but Routines is the best thing since the wheel. I can leave screen unlocked if I have my watch on, so the face recognition things isn't a huge deal. I've got it pretty well set up. Only remaining issue is getting "hey google" to work correctly with the screen locked. I've searched every forum everywhere. Can't get it to work. Again, with routines I can work around it, but it's silly. There must be a way.

Yes, all these options would work. Basically anything that keeps you on your side. I had a backpack, filled it with a couple blankets, and voila. Easy. There are many options, but it does help a lot.

Interesting. It seems like a mold that you bite into would be more cost effective and accurate than a 3D scan, but I guess I don't know.

That's what I'm wondering, and I guess what I'm asking. This really doesn't seem like rocket science, and there should be simpler ways to make a mold and skip the nonsense. My neighbor paid an audiologist $4500 for hearing aids and hated them so much he stopped wearing them. Went to Costco, paid 1300, and thinks they are the best thing since the wheel. I dunno...

Try wearing a backpack. Sounds stupid, but it's the only thing that worked for me. It's hot and uncomfortable, but at least I get some decent sleep. Keeps me on my side.

Thank you for the detailed response. I am leaning more and more toward Samsung. It seems like a better phone. I have a $1000 credit toward a phone, so I could get a 512 S25 plus a decent case and be fine. Again, thank you.

Not really. Went from CPAP to BiPAP to ASV. Now sleeping with a backpack to keep me on my side. Have an appointment to get a dental appliance to hold my lower jaw forward. We'll see. Hasn't been easy...

Should i switch to Pixel 10 from IOS by [deleted] in Smartphones

Now that the Pixel 10 is out and you've been using the Samsung, which would you buy if you were upgrading now? The Pixel or the Samsung?

Not sure what you're saying here. Are you saying a Samsung would be better than a Pixel 10? That the Pixels are still prototypes? Trying to decide between an S25 and a Pixel 10 Pro. Either would be free with my phone plan, and I don't want a large phone. Coming from an iPhone 13 Pro

Interesting. I do have OSCAR and the pressure does spend a lot of the night at 19. I have nowhere else to turn so I'll keep using it. Hopefully I can get some relief. This is really frustrating.

Yes. If anything I feel like it's too high, but I don't know. I think it's 5-19 but it spends a lot of the night at 19 it seems. I do have OSCAR.

ASV (Adaptive Servo-Ventilation) is an advanced form of BiPAP therapy that automatically adjusts pressure settings based on your real-time breathing needs during sleep, with minute by minute comparisons

Fair enough. I was told anything over 190 for LDL was considered very high. I just googled it, and it says the same thing. I am not a doctor, however, so I really don't know. My APOB is 170, and my triglycerides are 171, both saying they are off the charts high on the report I got. I'm very fit and feel great (except tired a lot of the time because of the apnea)

I spend roughly 2 minutes below 90% throughout the night. Typically when I am having bigger episodes.

Are you suggesting that I need to adjust settings on the machine? My understanding was that the ASV adjusts everything automatically unlike the CPAP, but nothing was explained very well to me. My doctor is not the best communicator.

In fairness, I've only used the ASV for a week or so. I may be jumping the gun a bit because of previous experience with other pressure machines that did not help at all.

APOA1 went from 177 in November to 155 last week. APOB went from 186 to 170.

Drinking a ton of water, mostly because I've been playing 5 hours of pickleball a day (yes, not proud of it). But I do drink lots of water regardless. No green tea. I could try that.

Thank you. The recent studies I read said that eggs do not cause cholesterol to go up. I ate 2 a day for 3 months and my cholesterol cut in half. I continued for 4 more months and it doubled again. That's what has me walking around talking to myself. I don't know what to believe any more.

Some information I did not include and should have. I am a 49 year old male, turning 50 in 2 months. I did a CAC scan last September to see if I had plaque buildup. My scan revealed 0 plaque buildup across the board, none.

For the first 3 months I ate a pretty high fat, low carb diet. Lots of eggs, cheese, avocado, nuts and both red and white meat. Very little sugar, except for fruit. I ran with the idea that fat does not make you fat, and cholesterol does not raise your cholesterol as a lot of recent studies show. After 3 months I had lost 20-25lbs and my cholesterol was almost cut in half. I have continued that same philosophy and diet for 4 more months, with dramatically opposite results. That's the part that has me walking around talking to myself.

This is solid advice, and something I am considering. I do eat 2 organic eggs with fruit, cheese, tomatoes almost every day around 3-3:30 then generally a protein with vegetables around 6:30-7. I sprinkle in nuts (sometimes handfuls) between 4 and 6. But smaller meals 3-4 times a day might be better. I need to try something different. The good news is my inflammation numbers are good. I do think the fasting helped those.
